Giroud must be reinstated tomorrow morning. Hopefully Welbeck starts on the right ahead of Walcott.

Sanchez and/or Ramsey should also make way, but they're essentially untouchable.

It could be argued Campbell has had a better season than Sanchez.
Take out the games against Leicester (A) and Man U (H) and Sanchez has been relatively gash. 1 goal and 1 assist in 13+2 games . Campbell has been better but won't take his place.

Want to see tomorrow:

Cech
Bellerin Mert Kos Nacho
Elneny Coq
Welbz Ozil Sanchez
Giroud

Statistically Sanchez has been playing to his usual standard (per the Arseblog link)...it's just his finishing that's completely disappeared this season. There's no way we can afford to drop a player that is at least trying every game.

It might be worth playing;

Cech
Bellerin Mert Kos Nacho
Elneny Coq
Welbz Ozil Campbell
Sanchez

If Giroud isn't going to start or possibly i'd like to see;

Cech
Bellerin Mert Kos Nacho
Elneny Coq
Campbell Ozil Sanchez
Welbeck

Simeone would be a nice appointment.

The sort of manager who would've dragged Walcott in the 20th, slapped the shit out of him and never played him again.

Personally i'd back Rafa. Yeah yeah laugh all you want but regardless of what people say he's a ****ing good manager;

Winning percentage at clubs 2004-2016

Valencia 54%
Liverpool 56%
Inter Milan 48%
Chelsea 58%
Napoli 52%
Real Madrid 68%

He's won trophies with all those sides except Real Madrid including 2x Champions League and 2x UEFA Cups.

At 55 years old he's still got another 10 years of management in him. Wenger goes and Rafa comes in for the next 3-5 years to steady the club.

Wouldn't say no to that. Arseblog's post yesterday was demoralizing - our board is so incompetent and disinterested re: football, making it extremely difficult for a new manager to come in. Rafa wouldn't be the worst by any means, but Simeone has that kuunt about him that we need.

Imagine him - pacing the Emirates pitch anxiously, celebrating goals like crazy, getting the crowd involved, getting the players to fight for the jumper, being a ******* intense, focused leader with a touch of arrogance. Exactly the character this club needs.

Doesn't exactly play exciting football though, Simeone's game plan is based heavily on defence and positional discipline. It would be a monstrous transition for the players (and fans) to get used to.

Why would Simeone leave Atletico to come to us? We are a rabble compared to them.

Why does any good manager leave a good club by choice? Money, challenges, opportunity play a large part.

I think in 2 years Simeone would listen to offers. Other Spanish clubs are ruled out for him - could easily see him coming to the EPL.

Defense and positional discipline, as well as astute spending and development, are strengths of his that can help address our biggest weaknesses. Defensive accountability from the whole side is where a new manager should begin when tinkering with this side. The flair can come later.

Or we can bring in a manager who caves and "give the fans what they want" - and look forward to a fair few 4-2 losses.

Depends if you are happy to watch your team play boring football in order to achieve success. Not sure how I would feel about it.

Don't think he would come to Arsenal so its a moot point regardless.

Success is success - I'd take it any way we can get it at the minute. Only Wenger is naive enough to prioritize anything else.

I think Unai Emery from Sevilla would be a good choice if we were looking to young managers from Spain.

He's 44, Sevilla play an attacking brand of football, He's finished 5th twice in Spain and is currently joint 5th in the League. He's won back to back UEFA cups. Not bad for a manager of a club with less resources than at lot of the bigger clubs in Europe.

What is the Arsenal way though? Serious question.

Our attacking "prowess" has been severely overstated the past couple of years. We haven't had a world class striker or goalscorer in 4-5 years...

Teams like City and Spurs are the attacking sides in the league these days. It's not an Arsenal trait, and it we're talking about goals scored then it hasn't been in years.

We haven't played attractive football since Fabregas left the club.
We have in patches but not consistently. Liverpool (H) last season and Man U (H) this season for example showcased what we can do, just doesn't happen often enough.

To be fair, every side above midtable has a one or two of those performances a season.

Spurs put 5 past Chelsea last year, Liverpool belted City away this year. These are games that are an exception to the rule - same with ours.

Piss off Debuchy Ospiña Ramsey Walcott chamberlain Gibbs Arteta Flamini rosicky and Jenkinson

Recall Szczesny.

Wilshere, somewhat contradictory to earlier reports and updates from Wenger, isn't even outdoors running

Cazorla had a "little setback" and won't be back by April :$

The 'setback' is part and parcel with an Arsenal injury. Not even surprised anymore, its just expected.

Santi has been really missed in the middle of the pitch. Would much rather him there than Ramsey. Was hoping he would return around this time to hopefully get his touch back for the last ten matches or so.

So Wilshere injures an ankle in September. It's 5+ months later and he isn't even running?

Is this club for real? Pack of ******* jokers.
