Watching the end of the replay now. A win is a win.

Thought Elneny was good, and Nacho showed once again how he's become one of the best defenders in England. Despite the goals, wasn't that impressed with Walcott, but Campbell was excellent.

Think we need to accept that Barca at the Nou Campe is a no-win, so play the best team possible against Watford. Don't know if anyone else saw Barca play Eibar last weekend, but Messi was in 'Best-Player-In-History' kind of form. We're not on Barca's level, and two down. Irrelevant of who we line up, we are unlikely to get a result there.

And we discussed this earlier in the season. The FA Cup is the FA Cup. Winning it three years in a row would be something to be extraordinarily proud of.

the times saying guardiola is keen on acquiring oxlade-chamberlain in the summer. can't imagine wenger parting with his lovechild for anything less than 30m.

if he goes, it's highly likely that pep will make a world-class player out of him. you can't deny his potential.

Interesting to see how we'll cope. Third consecutive "3 games in 1 week" coming up. Watford is an awkward game. Two options defensively:

A. Bellerin returns, Chambers and Mert starting CBs. Kos gets more time off.
B. Bellerin doesn't return. Chambers plays RB and both Kos and Mert start at CB.

Surely we go A. Kos is probably 50/50 but we shouldn't risk it. Just means Bellerin will have to play all three games.

ElCoqy is the best partnership we have at the moment, but it's concerning that Elneny might have to play all three matches coming up - making it 5 matches in 15 days. Arteta should start against Watford IMO. Save Elneny for Barca (lol), Everton and the run-in. He gets injured and we're well and truly ******.

Is Arteta fit at the moment? I'm not sure he is.

There is no way Wenger will field a weak team against Barcelona. No chance at all.

Nor should he. Sure in the grand scheme of things it might look silly and be a waste of energy that could later come back to bite us. But imagine telling the likes of Ozil and Alexis that there going to be sitting out against one of the best if not the best team in the world. They wouldn't want a bar of it, whilst in some respects it says that they're not good enough to match the opposition and rescue the result. 2 nil down to Barca is a mountain to climb but nevertheless it can be achieved and thats the message Wenger has to sell to his players.

Don't agree with the "send a weak team to Barcelona" theory. The best players want to play in these kind of games and its the reason they come to Arsenal, no point being in the UCL if you are going to throw games, regardless of the likelihood of winning.

Good luck telling Ozil and Alexis to sit it out anyway!

Conceding defeat in these types of games by naming an inferior line up also doesn't send the right message. Even though we're not going to win, still need to approach it with a winning mentality.

Was interesting to see the fallout from the likes of Gerard etc being benched for Liverpool's game at the Bernabau last year. The players want to play in games of this stature.

Sanchez also has a bit extra motivation to do well at his old ground.

I don't think so.

Didn't think so. Because if was, he'd be in the starting XI or at least used as a sub.

Hoping Elneny gets an extended run. His workload has been very light in recent weeks so should be ok hopefully to start the next few games. His fitness and stamina was also lauded when he was signed.

Guess we're about to find out.

Thats all good and well but good luck trying to extend Ozil and alexis contracts anyway when we can't even win a league title competing with Leicester and Tottenham lol.

No ******* chance we play a weakened team at the Camp Nou.

**** it ... it's only 2-0. Two or three early red cards to Barca and we're back in it.

True. We might even draw.

Are you ever not a miserable sod?

I'm not sure anyone is suggesting sending a weak team to Barca. As has been said several times, correctly, players want to play in games of that stature.

I just think that potentially wasting an opportunity against Watford, at home, by not playing a full strength side, in the hopes of resting them for Barca, is not what we should be looking at. Watford is a good side, and if we're off our game in any way, we'll suffer for it.

Mesut and Alexis had last night off. They're professional athletes. I'm sure they'll be chomping at the bit to play against both Watford AND Barca.
