The same goes for Old Trafford, and Stamford Bridge, and probably a few more clubs - any attempt at a protest via non-renewal of season tickets will evaporate as corporates, tourists, and wait listers eat them up so fast the absence isn't even noticed, and the protesters have to join a 10 year queue to get back worse tickets than they had.

Asked my sharebroker to see if he could find me a couple of shares yesterday. See if a fan can get some say that way.

Not interested in following the EPL whilst Wenger is still in charge, had enough of the deja vu. Every season is the same story. Arsenal ain't going anywhere till Wenger goes and we install a spine in the club, which has been missing for over a decade. This period of time at Arsenal has been the most frustrating experience I've had following a sporting team, the club doesn't have any direction, no guts and has become a corporate club full of **** wits. Going to follow my second team, Torquay United where at least we have a squad filled out probably, have goals set up and more importantly, have a ****ing soul.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants midfielder Serge Gnabry to stay and develop at the club. The 21-year-old, who is impressing for Germany at the Olympics in Rio, has been linked with a move to Hertha Berlin.

Wenger, however, wants the youngster to sign a new deal. He told reporters at his press conference this morning: “I want to keep Serge Gnabry and extend his contract. I think we stood by him. He went to West Brom (on loan), didn’t play, we had to rebuild his confidence.”

The Frenchman added: “I allowed him to go to the Olympics to help Germany. I think he’s here now for a long time.”

Good news.

Reports that Mustafi deal is agreed at €30 million (bargain). Medical on Monday apparently so won't be done in time for Leicester.

That's okay - the saving of 2m is worth giving our rivals a 6 pt headstart.

on whether Ozil, Giroud and Koscielny will be available…
Yes, I will consider them for selection this weekend. Of course they have not played any games for a while, so I have to be selective and I cannot go for the three because that would be too risky. But basically with Laurent Koscielny I have no choice! If I have to take a gamble on one, it’s certainly on him.

If only he had signed a centre half when Mertesacker injured himself, you know, like 3 weeks ago.

Then perhaps we wouldn't need to be in this position. But then again why not throw Holding to the wolves and decimate his confidence so early in his Arsenal career. It worked wonders for Chambers, so why not do it again?

Arsene knows best.

How is the Optus streaming thing going for anyone that has it?

It's going to suck not watching many games this season, honestly like the EPL more than AFL these days, from what turned out me getting into the EPL because it was the AFL off season to me actually liking it a lot more and then having it ripped away is totally shit.

All has gone quiet on the striker front.

Mustafi appears close (but then again have been saying that for over a week) however I'm hoping the search for a defender hasn't glossed over the glaring need for a new forward. You never know at Arsenal.
