Can we make the GF?

Depends on a few things.

Jimmy Clement/Presti/Bucks all have to be match fit. Shaw will be fit so thats no issue.

The hurdle i think is almost over with Cats and Dons next week. If we can beat Cats and close the gap on top spot i think we are on track!!! Have to win 1 of next 2 at least to maintain clear spot in top 4. Lose next 2 and we are in trouble.

We definately must finish top 4 to have any chance.
Assuming we get there,we need to play here at home.Would not like our chances if we had to play west coast in Perth for first final.too taxing
Then we need to field a full side, especially if we are lucky enough to make the Grand Final.
If all those things fall into place.Yes we can win it,doesn't matter who we meet.

I know this might sound silly, but finish top 4 and we are a chance! Even if we have to travel to Perth and I say this because Geelong will finish 1st! If we finish 3rd - go over and play West Coast and loose - and Geelong win their first final then we play Geelong (assuming we win the next week) at home to make it to the Granny and anyones game!

Lets just say we are as good a chance as anyone to make the Granny at this stage - but no certainty!

I think we can. The Collingwood team of this year resembles the 2002/2003 teams which made consecutive GFs. We tackle hard, we're ferocious at the ball, and we have a good mix of youth and experience. In 2002, we weren't expected to make the GF because of how young we were. This year, we're equally as young, and if we can get Jimmy, Presti and/or Bucks back, we'll be in with a show.

Can Collingwood supporters get ahead of themselves ????

Pies are going well. It may happen but just enjoy the ride at the moment. I don't think you want to many of the injured players back. Without the match fitness you may get found out. Stick with the team that got you where you are.

Yes

But will the returns of our injured players have a negative or postitive impact?

When they do, will the 'youngens' slack back a bit?

They have battled there guts out but will they still when James Clement and Nathan Buckley come back?

if West Coast run 2nd, I'd rather be 5th than 3rd.

minimise the travel and 4 of the last 5 flags have been won by sides who played all 4 weeks of the finals.

Winning a qualifying final is a bad omen lately!

I'd rather 3rd, at least you have a game at the start to fall back on.

We beat Geelong this weekend, we are monty for the granny, we lose to Geelong this weekend, we are still a chance but we'll need a miracle to win it.

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!! u and what black and white army!!!!!!! you might have to go thru geelong, yeah, and hawthorn, and west coast, and even if u do dont 4get collingwoods running track record of losing GFs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
