Every highlights of scratch matches i see some things from Brownless that makes me want to keep him because i think he has a very good chance to turn into a good player. Unfortunately with lists getting cut he may not get the extra year that he needs to show it.

What afl performances? He hasn't played afl for over a year and still gets caned without any thought that he may have developed as a player.

I am neither here nor there about Parsons but I'm prepared to ease up on him until the MC select him and we see him play.

That may never happen, and if that's the case, so be it........but he is a whipping boy on this board whenever his name is raised, despite not being seen for over a year. Players develop at different rates, and at different ages (ie Menegola, Guthrie) and there are some on this board who are a little too quick to write players off.

Great to see club is continuing with the scratch matches - aside from keeping the squad sharp for AFL backup, the matches have been important to keep developing players- maybe not as good as VFL matches (although that’s debatable), but much better than a lost season. Every extra game is a bonus, IMO.

Liked the vision of the SM against Tigers - although cherry picked highlights, there were lots of encouraging signs.

Tarca appears to be emerging as a prospect after a disrupted and unremarkable first season and a half on the list. Really liking the vision of his high leaping - appears to be another facet that could make him a dangerous small forward. Club reports are talking him up but has to make some really tough list calls - would be interesting to know their thinking with Tarca.

At the start of the year you would suggest Tarca was on his last legs and Kennerly would keep his spot
