So your gripe is with me whinging about it... on a forum... where we discuss it.
I reckon you might be in the wrong place.
Alternately feel free to offer solutions to there not being a fixture, website or any publicity of note.
How will Stephen Daniel go coaching the Southport Sharks ? How will the old NEAFL teams go competing in the new comp ? Who have the old VFL clubs been able to pick up in the off-season ? How will our old coach Danny Ryan go coaching Frankston ?

Discuss footy ? Nah, bugger it, I'd rather read your whinges about how bad it all is.
Not !

"Its piss poor."
"It’s just pretty sh*t all round, smacks of them not giving a sh*t about this comp"

Discuss footy ? I haven't seen you mentioning the footy at all - I think it might be you who is on the wrong forum.

Alright I won’t come in here to discuss the comp that doesn’t even have website, it’s all rosy and you can enjoy the comp that barely exists at the moment with the other fans who don’t have anything else to discuss about it.

Nah but at least you can still whinge.
What's the news from your club anyway ?

I don't understand how people can think this is anything but a shambles honestly. They have no website, no social media, no news, no fixture.

Good comebacks to you both ;).
I'm thinking that we will all end up agreeing that there's no website, no publicity, no fixture, only us little chickens to be 'social media'.
And probably no comp this year. Which is probably why there's none of the above.
You're kidding yourself. If you publically announce it, the website should be ready within weeks. The social media similar. Regardless of COVID. Take a leaf out of the SANFL and WAFL websites. The VFL one is deplorable.

So we’ve waited until yesterday hoping for new cases to use as a crutch for no website or fixture?? Yeah right! There will be a season and as a requirement of any comp a fixture might be considered handy!

Yeah yeah, we've heard all about how the VFL Admin sux...blah...blah...blah.
But what about some footy discussion - Ringo, what's going on at your club ?

Am I the only one that follows my club on social media as well as the other traditional VFA clubs? Was very happy to see Preston/Northern have made great progress in re establishing their past players. $70 season memberships at Port is great value. Willy to play first 5 games away due to their ground turf only recently being completed. Lots of new signings and re commitments at all clubs. Comp is compromised but bring it on!

I follow all the VFL clubs haha. Including Richmond and Carlton

yeay, some footy discussion at last - this is great to read. Thanks to Town. Like Town said...BRING IT ON !

After an exciting few years of NEAFL, we Canberra/Sydneysiders now only have the Swans and Giants to follow - last year was nothing more than 'Dancing with your sister' as the two reserves teams only played against each other.
Not much doing so far for 2021 (will there be a season and what will it look like ? There are doubters including me - the NBL has put their season on hold until further notice). The Swans have picked some quality talent from the 'burbs to add to the list and it seeme that the Giants are being cautious about committing to the season after what happened last year.
From reading club web pages, I see that the Sharks and Hornets in Brisbane have recruited well and we can only hope that they can hold it all together after last year's groups never got off the ground.
Canberra has ideas of eventually getting into the new E-VFL but I wouldn't be stumping up my sheckles on that one.

Aspley lost unfortunately Abe Ankers, Aaron Young Jackson Allen and Gavin Grose some real quality. But in saying that they have picked up Ryan Bastinac ( Brisbane), Corey Lyons ( Brisbane), Jack Rolls ( Redlands) Matt Hammelman ( Redland former Brisbane lion)and Matt Eagles ( Brisbane Lions). The Hornets are going to be very handy, Daniel Webster the coach has been impressive, making the step up from Mt Gravatt to NEAFL - VFL.

So looking forward to how this new competition is going to go.

Clubs are hoping to have a draft fixture by end of the week, so it will be at least another week I would think before fixture is out. I understand clubs have been told who and where they are playing in Round 1

Ditto, and i havent seen anything on the comp from any of them, handful of signings, mostly dudes no one had heard of (probably excellent footballers to be fair but not really ring your bell stuff)

Ankers, Matt Payne and Grose will be big losses - I've loved watching Grose and Payne play in Sydney and Canberra many times and Ankers is well regarded though I don't remember having seen him play. Eagles is a good pickup though he's been around for a while - he belted a player off the ball one day at Blacktown, right in front of the home crowd which livened up the day a bit. I've seen Bastinak twice and he looked a bit smashed up, but perhaps a year off might have allowed him to freshen up a bit.
How did the Sharks and the Hornets keep up to speed last year - were they just playing scratch matches against each other ? Were Redland still going a concern last year ?

Could be a major shakeup ...I believe Mr Salter might be on his way out.
The disaster that is/was the AFL academies should seal his fate - might as well just go back to zoning and a free for all market like the 70’s and 80’s.

All because of Todd Marshall and Jarod Brander who didn’t even end up at Giants. Probably Jacob Hopper as well who at least did end up at Giants.

They didn’t play as clubs. Instead many of their players spent the season playing for various QAFL clubs. Payne was BOG in Morningside’s premiership win. Redland in the QAFL Premier div this year.
