I get where you're coming from with your Frankston prediction but I think we're a very different team to the one that played Footscray in Round 12. The truth is that the first half of our season was a polar opposite to our second half. We had George Grey and Tyson Milne out injured for large chunks of the year, while our new recruits weren't quite gelling with the returning players in my opinion. Since our trip to Coburg we've looked like a completely different team. Ellison and Gown have become extremely dangerous up forward, and we've potentially found a new main ruckman in Harrison Coe. Form-wise we're right up there at the moment, we went up against a stacked Collingwood side and won convincingly. The only thing against us right now is that we still have a few players injured. Blake O'Leary's season is finished due to his injury sustained against North Melbourne, and Trent Mynott is out for at least a couple of weeks (so his season could be done depending on how far we go in the finals.)

I'm not about to get arrogant and expect a win, but I think we're a real chance.

Mynott has been named.

Where its won and lost? ;

Midfield battle, the Dogs starting 4 look as good enough to be an AFL midifleld quartet, on the flip side, Frankston's is as good as any and have stood up in almost every turn this year. Treloar is the wildcard, he stays fit and he could take the pi$$. Frankston simply need to put work into him to minimise the damage he could do. Caleb Poulter on a wing is the other big weapon the Dogs have.

Frankstons defence; whilst it lacks any real star power, sans Will Hammil and Jackson Voss, they constantly get the job done. Last week the Lions continually kept coming but they held firm. Taine Barlow would be one of the most under valued defenders in the comp, Ollie Moran never gets beaten and Josh Smith gives them some meat in a widely skinny back 6.

The expected rain could be detrimental to a Dolphins front six built on its power forwards. Ellison (44 goals/18 games), (27/18) and Gown (25/17). Dontdiscount the power of the Dogs forward group, think the match up of the day could be Moran taking on Will Lewis.

Whilst the Dogs have their stars, Frankston is built on team play and its unheralded back 6. Taine Barlow, Joe Lloyd, Jackson Voss and Tyson Milne have not conceded 100 points funnily enough since round 12 versus the Dogs. They regularly look to intercept and bring the ball back corridor at half back with the kicking skills of Voss, Hammil and Milne.

The Dolphins depth is what could win this, they have very few stars. Ellison as one of the leading goal kickers in the competition, Mynott, Blamires as a couple of the leading mids in the comp and Voss as one of the leading defenders the ones to watch. They bat deep and that could help them really step up. They fight for each other, they rally around each other and being on an 8 game winning streak, this game looks set to be an absolute cracker.

Expect Noah Gown to chop out in the ruck as the wildcard for Frankston

Footscray absolutely screwing us over with the entry today. We had two buses booked to get supporters to the game, one of the buses gets told to park around the corner until the gates open. The moment we leave they apparently start letting people in anyway. We're working our way back around to the entrance now.

LOL I laugh cause the same thing happened to me this time last year, except I'd completely forgotten about it until reading your post.

How much of a weak flog is Duryea. Elbowing a guy in the face behind the play. That's his season done if there's any justice in this league.

Not condoning it but seemed Bailey knocked Duryea to the ground after he was attempting to get up after slipping over already.

Really poor from an AFL premiership player

Umpiring has been horrid, but we've gotta take ownership of this performance. This has been the most lifeless effort we've given since that Box Hill game. Players with absolutely zero awareness taking too long to dispose, passing sideways or backwards when we can't hit targets and inevitably giving up territory. I've even heard players going off at each other between play.

It's an absolute nightmare and I don't even have the option of leaving early because I caugh the supporter bus here.

Sharks smoke Box Hill in the last quarter. Josh Weddle come on the ground at half time in a tied game. Running around like an idiot costing his team goals. Southport kicked 8 in a row soon after he come on. Before some junk late Box Hill goals to save the margin

In fact from half time to the 21st minute mark of the last quarter Sharks went on a 64 to 17 run

It doesn't surprise me about Weddle. He often looks like one of the best players in the comp and also one of the worst players in the comp in the same game.

Box Hill turds lose.

Footscray way too good for Frankston. Complete domination from start to finish. With Southport knocking over Box Hill, the dogs r definitely premiership favourites. Despite the cold conditions it was a good crowd.
