News VFL Fixture 2012.

The VFL Fixture for 2012 has been released.

The Collingwood fixture includes;

* 3 byes, week 1, but not the last round.
* 9 games at Victoria Park
* Our Season opener at Geelong, and a trip to Bendigo

Personally I'd love the AFL to start up their own reserves comp, but I'll still go to plenty of VFL games next year.

7th of April: North Ballarat/Richmond (1pm VFL, 7:40 AFL)
14th of July: Geelong/Geelong (1pm VFL, 7:40pm AFL)
21st of July: Box Hill/Hawthorn (10:30am start for VFL, 1:45pm AFL)

Tasmania has a very proud footy heritage and many of my extended family enjoy going to watch the Pies play, without people like you having a crack at us.

Actually, on a slightly more serious note, I'm really looking forward to getting to lots of games at Vic Park, and even travel to the away games next year.

Will be great to see how the likes of Witts, Hartley, Marty Clarke, Mooney, Keefe, Yagmoor, Elliott, Paine, Gault, Josh Thomas, Stubbs and Farmer etc fare in their development.

Think we should get a bigfooty viewing area aswell, so people can catch up if they like.

Last year, TradeDraft, Stui Magpie, The Tenth Letter and I all caught up a few times and it was great.

Swooop was alluding to there being three big rounds in 2012 when both our VFL and AFL teams play in Tasmania.

He also said something about us being the smartest supporters of all.

It took me awhile too. I've come to the assumption that 'double header' was offensive because it's common knowledge that Tasmanians have two heads (two heads meaning a double header)
