Yep. Virtually back to full strength, which is great news.

Great news with Sean Rusling returning and Ben Johnson is listed on the bench after breaking his leg against Geelong in the seniors in Rd 3.

We have to adhere to the 12/10 rule against Port Melbourne, because they don't have an AFL affiliation - Most of those guys listed won't play this week.

There's only 6 VFL listed players there - All of them will play, plus another four.

I thought that Collingwood & Geelong VFL teams being non-aligned clubs (unlike Williamstown/Western Bulldogs) were allowed to play as many AFL listed players as they liked in the home & away season but had to comply to the 12/10 rule in the VFL finals.

Unfortunately I cannot find anything on the VFL website to confirm.

I hope Bucksisbest is right, the only reason we went to a standalone VFL team was so we had no restrictions on how many AFL listed players and rookies we had.

Would hate to think players like Keefe, Blair etc would have no where to play this week just because we are playing against a "standalone" VFL side.

If the restriction is in place, even for finals, we should petition the AFL for a nationwide reserves competition, and go back to the old days.

Considering the on field 18 is made up of listed players I'd be inclined to think we are right to go. I'd dare say we'd have all the none listed players starting on field if otherwise.

Pretty sure BucksIsBest is right, harking back to something posted on vflfooty.com earlier this year.

Found this on vflfooty.com : http://vflfooty.com/?q=node/5027

When Collingwood or Geelong play a VFL stand-alone team (Port Melbourne or Frankston), there is no restriction on AFL-listed players who can play for the Collingwood or Geelong. In fact, Collingwood and Geelong are only restricted to a 16-6 rule during the finals series.
When an AFL aligned team play a VFL stand-alone team, the aligned team must field a team under the 12-10 rule (a maximum of 12 AFL-listed players only).
When two aligned teams play, the 12-10 rule now also comes into play (I think this was introduced last year as the rule is mandatory for aligned teams during the finals). This one I'm not 100% on.
If I'm wrong with any of the above, please feel free to correct me, with links to the correct info.

I believe the only change that was posted by Dale61 is that Collingwood & Geelong in the finals can only use 12 AFL listed players v Port Melbourne & Frankston.

Nathan Brown has been dropped and will line up at full back in the 2's. That is a big suprise. Sidebottom also dropped and will line up on the h/f flank.
