We have been shafted again. They have moved the magoos game and are now playing it at Willy. So we loose a CR & a home game & they get the home ground advantage. Pushed around again.:thumbsd:

Re: VFL moved

But wasn't a game moved to Skilled Stadium earlier this year? Weren't we already one up?

The Bendigo game was moved to SS but the return game that was due to be at SS in Rd20 [final H7A game] was moved from SS to Bendigo

Re: VFL moved

The VFL side played before the Brisbane match and from what i could see they didn't rip it up much at all, and it was raining for the whole match.

And they switch this one ..........maybe the twos did rip up the surface and that is why they do not want to risk it this time.

CHANGE OF GATE OPENING TIME & VFL GAME LOCATION

After consultation with the City of Greater Geelong, the VFL game Bendigo Bank Cats v Williamstown, scheduled as a curtain raiser for Saturday’s Geelong v Sydney game, has been moved to Burbank Oval, Williamstown and will be played at 2.00pm.

The decision has been made to ensure the surface is kept in its best possible condition, the Falcons game to played on Sunday has also been moved.

The gates will now open at 11.45am on Saturday June 30, with a 2.10pm start for the Geelong v Sydney game.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to members and supporters attending on the day.

Re: VFL moved

Ace! I was never going to make it to SS, but I should be able to see most of the second half at Willy. With rain forecast and a strong wind off the bay, it should be a classic Williamstown match.

Exactly. And their home ground advantage.:thumbsd:

Re: VFL moved

This is really annoying, as I'm flying in from Sydney at 7:30am into Avalon. If I can't get into the ground until 11:45am, what on earth do I do in Geelong for 4 hours?

Any suggestions?

Re: VFL moved

Half time scores - Gee 12-6 Will 8-5,

14 of the goals at one end so there would be a pretty stiff breeze. Still hoping to pop down there for the last quarter and see who will be playing ones next week.
