There used to be a trivia question which asked how many unrelated players with the same surname have played Test cricket for Australia since 1970. The answer used to be 8 I think, but that was a number of years ago.

I've seen three of the surnames feature in this thread, Can anyone get them all?
Wayne Phillips and same
Wally and Ross Edwards
Ian and Simon Davis
Kim and Merv Hughes
Wayne and Stuart Clark

That was the Alan Hurst Mankad/Andrew Hilditch handling the ball test vs Pakistan in Perth.

The last test in Australia to feature 8 ball overs if memory serves me correctly.

He scored 38 and 22 not out. Or 22 and 38 not out. Something like that.

He also hit the winning runs.

Graeme & Shane Watson are the "all-rounder & all-rounder". :)

Coincidentally, they both played for 3 states, the only one they didn't play for between them being SA.

3 to go. Since 1970. "All-rounder" may be disputed by some as a description for no 4. :)

Steve Smith and Steve Smith
Yes, two to go:

Fast bowler and fast bowler - both debuted in the 70s
Fast bowler and spinner - the first debuted in the 70s the other in the naughties
