So many visiting teams put australia in after winning the toss.
Youd think some sort of research would be undertaken that would reveal the record of australia batting first at home and it's weakness when batting second.

The professionalism or lack thereof is astounding

I think this has more to do with the Windies' lack of faith in themselves being competitive than a tactical decision. Guarantees the game goes well into the third day, maybe even scrape into a fourth.

Mind you, didn't work last time.
Its not just them. India (ha) england before them. Have a f...ng crack

In theory I guess. Taylor, Roach, Holder sounds ok on paper.
Roach has been the worst player of the series for mine. Doesn't even look like he wants to be there. Holder has contained a bit but hasn't threatened. Taylor has been too short and inconsistent.

A lot of things look good on paper but are poor in reality. It is why Noobz0r has no luck with his internet dating.

If they batted first today, they probably would have been 5/30 at lunch (in the shortened session).

If they were able to bat out till stumps today, the game would be interestingly poised.

Lack of confidence from the first test probably dictated their decision making today.

Although last test unfolded differently, I'm sick of seeing the exact same plot in every game.

-Australia bat first and put up a big score
-Other team bats
-Australia bat again, regardless of the lead, make a quickfire 200-300 and put the other team in sometime between lunch and tea on day 4
-Other team tries to cling on for a draw in an extremely boring final day

Yes, there seemed to be a run of Test matches in Brisbane where Australia kept being put in, ended the 1st day on 2/340, made 500+ and won the Test giving Australia a 1-0 series lead. Unless a pitch is an absolute shocker, you really should be batting first in a Test match.

There is a fair bit of talk that a claytons toss has been taking place at the request of the tv networks and the administration of the game.
West Indies win toss and they bowl, Australia win toss and they bat.
I would like to think this is not really happening but Tom Moody and Dean Jones were convinced this is the case.
Surely the game has not sunken to this level

I wouldn't be totally shocked sadly

Was this talk only in relation to this Test?
