Played in a Prelim 2 and half seasons ago and were 5 goals up at one stage in it on the road to the now back to back premiers with pretty much the same core minus a couple.

It was still a limited list. Had some very good parts but the blend wasn't right. I could spot that early as 22. Voss mainly responsible but list manager also. Done an awful job.

I don’t care if Voss is a good coach or a bad coach . I hate the way how the media smells blood and goes for the jugular, and when it’s another coaches turn they will do the same thing . This is a blokes livelihood and he has a family they don’t give a shit about that anything for a headline.

Essendon were the same we thought our list good enough until the club realized it's not so have now invested in the the last 3 drafts and we are staring to stock pile a bunch of good kids

Don't fall into the trap Blues strip the list back and get some good kids from the pointy end of the draft

I see it as more development and coaching that is needed as well. Anyone can draft the pundits best 17yo kid available at any clubs pick but you need to coach them well and develop them.

We have not been the best at this i will freely admit but in saying that neither Dow or OBrien have done a thing since anywhere and you just cant have those draft busts cause it sets you back big time.

Lachie Obrien is playing in the bush leagues now i think. While Dow cannot get a game at the Saints.

Those early picks kill development when they do not work out. Not to mention LDU went the pick after SOS selected Paddy Dow.

Cant trade Cripps and Weitering.

Nope.

He is to hard to replace.

If Weitering was in the draft at his age currently he would still go Top 2.

There is no 1800 number for a key back as good as him.

No kid at that pick will be better than Jacob currently who shown what he can do at AFL level.

Cash in could mean another Dow and O'Brien as well!

We already have Jagga and Walker also coming who is widely rated as the best kid in the country and whatever steak knives come as well.

We need a decent coach and development team and not looking at trading our Captain and Jacob.

My thoughts exactly and he seems the type he is makes for a great assistant as he has shown but as head coach he gets shown up a bit and makes rash decisions.

We all wish Vossy the best but i highly doubt he ever coaches an AFL team again. Will be a good addition as an assistant role though for someone but given full reign is not just his strength.

Will always be a champion player of our game but will join a long list of champion players that were not real great head coaches.

He had 5yrs with us and take out the 2023 season his stats are dire reading.

Cripps isn't past it. He just needs the pressure to be taken off him in terms of not feeling like he has to do it all.

Put Cripps alongside Jackson, Serong, Brayshaw, Bolton etc and he could still play some great football.

We have next to no players to take advantage of his A grade inside work, Freo do.

Weitering and McKay are 28 at present. We can sit on them for one more season probably.
