MOTM:
5: Macca, was so good today it almost hurt.
4: Bock
3: Reilly, started off quietly but did very well later on. Felt him and Thompson had more attention paid to them after last week.
2: Van Berlo, was superb in the first half. Faded a fair bit in the second half but was so good at the start that he needed votes.
1: Goodwin, I don't know if it's just because he does it so often but I hardly notice Goodwins disposals these days. It's not that they're not good but I dunno, always a shock to see he got so much of it.

The 1 could have gone to about 5 guys, Knights, Edwards, Thompson, S. Stevens.

BTM: Abstain.

Rookie:
2: Knights, he was so good today it did hurt. I've always said he just needs a bit of time and confidence in order to get his disposal better. Was kicking very well today (saw somewhere 22 kicks, 20 effective) and not doing his turn, prop and handball to someone in a worse spot.
1: Griffin, I'm getting super excited about this guy. Apologies to Douglas who was decent, not a big fan of him on the HBF though.

Tyson Edwards was easily our best in the first half IMO. I'd love to see his clearance count.

Can't give full vote count, as I slept through the 1st half, DAMN IT. Made it live to see the second half, but I wanted to say how great Reilly was in the 3rd... Tore it up! Think he should get a few votes :)

POTY:

5. Mcleod- Best game Macca has played for years. He was simply sensational tonight.

4. Goodwin- Wasn't he in doubt all week? You wouldn't have known because he was brilliant all night long.

3. Knights- Best game Knighta has played for the AFC. 28 possessions, 11 marks.

2. Reilly- His third quarter was a thing of bueaty. He has arrived as far as I’m concerned.

1. van Berlo- Set up the win with a BIG first quarter. 7 possies in as many minutes. Great delivery to the forwards, and kicked a great goal himself.

BTM:

3. van Berlo- Courageous as ever.
2. Bassett- Did a tremendous job in defence.
1. Stevens- Was a focal point up forward; presented all night.

Rookie:

2. Griffin- Great job in the ruck and some nice work around the ground.
1. Douglas- Good second half down back.

PS. Is Knights eligible for the rookie? If so he gets the 2, Griffin the 1.

POTY

5. Mcleod- Macca spoilt us today - turned back the hands of time and gave us vintage Macca - and how good is that!!!

4. Goodwin- Quality player. If he can play that well under a fitness cloud, what will he do when he's fit?? :D

3. Knights- My man Knights!! :) Starting to deliver as I always believed he would. Kicking was superb today and his confidence level is rising. The best is still yet to come.

2. Reilly- Has taken his game to a new level this year. Hard at the ball and the opponent and gave us great drive today.

1. Edwards- Huge first half when the arm wrestle was really on, swinging it our way. Quieter in the 2nd half, but that first half alone gets him in my best 5.

Best Team man

3. Bassett- In AA form today keeping Johnson down to an average game for Johnson.

2. van Berlo- Huge first half when it counted and shows courage and desperation when either going for the ball or chasing or tackling an opponent. Jericho - please note.

1. Hudson- Worked his bum off today and along with Griffin gave us a good presence in ruck and around the ground

Rookie:

2. Knights- See Above

1. Griffin- Fate in the way of injuries to others may have uncovered a real gem here. IMO he is one of the best raw ruck prospects I have seen for a long time. :thumbsu:

5- McLeod
4- Edwards
3- Bock
2- Goodwin
1- Knights

BTM-

3- Stevens
2- Bassett
1- Reilly

Rookie - I am assuming Knights is NOT a rookie?

2- Douglas
1- Griffin

POTY

5 - Andy McLeod - vintage performance - {insert further superlatives here}
4 - Nathan Bock - his size and athleticism forced the Bulldog defense to re-shuffle all day and IMO that had a ripple affect through the matchups on the rest of our forward line.
3 - Tyson Edwards - answered well after a shocker last week
2 - Simon Goodwin
1 - Chris Knights - Needs to keep being instinctive

BTM

3 - van Berlo
2 - Bock
1 - Stevens

ROTY

2 - Knights - keep going young man.....you can do it....:thumbsu:

POTY -

5. McLeod - set the standard from start to finish
4. Bock - is becoming the go to guy up forward

1. Knights - keep it up son

HM - Edwards, Bassett, Thompson & Hudson

Benny Hudson is well and truly our BEST team man, he is a beast. when johnny went down in the 2nd qtr it was the big fella rallying the troops, his presence in the centre square is so influential.....

5. McLeod - Classic game
4. Bock - I've been in his corner for a while now
3. Rutten - Was the real rock of the Crows structure that allowed the rest of the defenders to have a real field day
2. Reilly - As said before, he has arrived
1. Goodwin - Stellar as always

3. Hudson - Champion
2. Rutten - Didn't have a goal kicked on him (said the commentators), played a pivotal role in our defensive structure, allowing our defenders do what they do best - ATTACK!
1. van Berlo - Toss up between him and Bode, the embodiment of courage

2. Griffin - Proof that pressure builds diamonds. Hopefully all the critics will finally stop mentioning our rucking crisis. Griffin was 4th in line and he's played beautifully the last two games.
1. Knights - as repeatedly said on this forum, if he's kicking straight, he is one of the best young midfielders in the AFL. It took him a little while to do that unfortunately, but wow, he can get the ball.

VB is emerging too, becoming a damaging attacking player as well as a great tagger. Once fully released from a run-with role, he could become something else.
