Personally i would not have given polo a vote -played very loose and gave a away a silly 50 leading to a certain goal.

Borderline getting dropped if you ask me.
NFI. Easily our best.
5 - Polo
4 - Graham
3 - Foley
2 - Deledio
1 - Tambling

5 - Gus - Easily best on ground, was competent in the ruck, hard at the ball and could be a decent target up forward when resting. Good hands for a big man as well, he would have had to be right up there with tackles as well.
4 - Deledio - Great first term and fought hard for the rest of the match. Needs to be able to break lines more often. Good to see him lay a few more tackles this week as well.
3 - Foley - Clearance king, was great in patches. Don't see how we can dominate tackles and clearances and still lose comprehensivley. Foley did his job well.
2 - Jackson - Been a shining light this year, his attack on the ball is great and for him to come back on after that nasty gash was commendable.
1 - Cousins - 22 touches in bugger all game time, only saw one touch that didnt hit a target, wasnt afraid to get the ball either. More game time next week and he will be a game changing player.

Unlucky
Polo - thought that 50 was soft, he kinda looks like the new Bowden to me, similar height and role of running off the back. Needs to be a bit quicker though and smarter wtih ball movement.
Rance - Purely because the kid is hard at it and that is something we dont have enough of at richmond.
White - gives 100 at all times, needs to be able to get the ball around 50 more often to kick those running goals.

Worst
Bowden- I have been a backer of bowden for a long time but his clangers were TOO costly today 3 in a row resulted in goals and then he couldnt even bounce the ball. Who cares if he gets 50 touches he doesnt use them well any more.

Jack - Not entirely his fault, the ball coming into him was pretty pathetic but I think his work rate was just slightly down this week.

3. graham - our best player today by a mile - was more than competitive in the ruck, got a round the ground a lot looks better every week, thought the big man did very well today, a real goer.

2. cousins - easily our best midfielder today, a lot of our forward 50 entries were the result of cousins clearance dishing off with clean hands to a player in space.

1. im giving 1 vote to rance for his courage.

dont feel any our other players were worth mentioning in a positive way.

Bowden??? You're ****ing kidding me!!!!. He was total garbage. 35 crap disposals. Was one of his worst games EVER for the club.

Deal with it. I don't think Deledio deserved the votes you gave him but i'm not getting bent out of shape about it.

If you think it was one of his worst games ever then I suggest that you have not watched many games or you still are wound up from the loss.

FWIW I think we were basically crap this week and Bowden at least gave us some drive out of the back half after half time. Tambling was consistent, Graham was too. Simmonds deserved a vote for getting those goals and really I could only say Cousins was stiff to not get a vote. Jackson got the ball but was not effective enough and I liked Andy Collins. White had a good first Q too. Foley got a bit of the ball but was not effective IMHO.

It really was an inept performance and not all of Bowden's decisions were good but to suggest that it was one of his worst games ever is way over the top. Were you watching on TV, or sitting near the fence? Because I watched Bowden closely from the top deck of the SS, where you can see the whole ground and thought he deserved the votes I gave him.

I gotta say I agree with cotch on this one. Bowden had 35 touches hardly any of which were effective. I think it was the second quarter where three in a row resulted in turnovers and goals. When he was in a contest he couldn't get the ball and he struggled to hit a target all day. Effort is one thing but you got to be able to use it. More often or not Bowden is a reliable kick and decent player of half back, this week I think he butchered it and will be lucky to retain his spot in the team.

Edwards was the same, effort was there but it was clanger after clanger

Were you watching the same game peejay ?

By the way, votes only count towards our bigfooty b&f if there posted before midnight Tuesday.

He was horrible and he will certainly be in the gun if we've decided to preference youth.

When we needed to stabilise our lead through the 2nd quarter he had three horrible clangers in a row through the corridor which all resulted in goals. When Moore went off he showed why he's no longer given key defensive roles. Every time we needed the kind of precise offensive kicking and drive from half-back which Drummond gave the Lions (with far fewer possessions), he went sideways and short because he refused to take a chance and wear another potential clanger for the sake of the team. He's always done it, he always will do it - he's the epitome of selfish and gutless. When we have way more possession but do nothing with it, invariably it's down to Newman and Bowden being utterly incapable of playing their role effectively. They both somehow manage to make McMahon look like a superstar rebounder, which is disgusting and shameful.

----------------------------

5 - Graham...fantastic game, this kid is capable of towelling up anyone on his day in a couple of years once he reaches full AFL fitness - which he is currently nowhere near.

4 - Moore...thought he battled well under duress on Brown, solid effort.

3 - Nahas...solid game, needs to take his chances more often, showed a glimpse that he will be capable of playing on a wing now and then and giving good delivery inside-50.

2 - Jackson...decent but not good because his disposal was very ordinary at times. A couple of his ferocious tackles in the second half were excellent and he's one of our few players who can turn a game our way with his perseverence and attack on the ball.

1 - Polo...again, decent, not good, but he went alright.

Didn't give votes to Foley because he was almost completely ineffectual despite getting a lot of touches, Tuck because he's playing injured and was not effective, Simmonds because he's got stone hands and Saturday was just yet another time in his career where he had the opportunity to turn a game and failed, and Deledio because he too often gives us less than zero when it counts and did again this weekend.
