Saturday Night.
Friday is Geelong vs Brissie.
Would be pissed if Walker's wasted on Wells. One of the most overrated players in the AFL.Massive chance of beating the Kangas next week up on the GC. Sentanta/T-Bird on Thompson, Waite on Brown (should be play forward), and get Walks to tag Wells.
North will struggle to match up our key forwards I would have thought, with Fevola (Watt), Kennedy/Whitnall (Petrie) and perhaps Archer to take the other tall.
Prediction - Carlton by 20 points.

I thought about him tagging Harvey, but Carrazzo might just get that job. These would be the midfield matchups I would be looking at right now:
Walker/Wells
Carrazzo/Harvey
Bentick/Simpson

I'd play Russell on Wells and let Walks run the ball out of the backline again.

Yeah i kidn of agreee. I really dont want walks playing in teh back pocket like he was last night. He needs to be able to run off HBF>
Shocking siren at that venueMy thoughts are that we will win. My hopes are that I hope the crowd will be as vocal as they were last night, and i hope like last night, the majority of the crowd will be Blue.
I coudln't even hear the final siren last night because the crowd were so vocalGoosebumps.
Should be a good one next week. Anyone know the time and day of the game?
GO BLUES!![]()
Wells would be far too good for JR, and I really think it would dent his confidence to much if Wells went beserk. I do like the idea of Walks running the ball out of defence, but I really feel he will be better served playing on Wells.
If Walks does play on Wells, then he'll be in the midfield. Wells is too good to play in the FP.

Bateman and Stanton are handy scalps and I think Russell needs to be tested. Why not? We have nothing to lose from testing him all throughout the year. For an early pick we need to know this year whethe rhe's a long term player or not; if not, trade him.

I certainly hope you guys start favourites.I'm glad we're playing North. Freo would have been way too easy a win for us leading up to a GF.
Having said that, going on talent alone the Blues should win by a rather large margin. North have lost nearly all their good players in recent years, and the only really good recruit they have gotten in the last few years should be wearing our colours. They've obviously worked on their fitness to get this far, but fitness alone won't be enough to counter the vast talent gap we have over their team.

More money to be made at the TAB.
Just a pity the AFL is playing this at Cararra.
