Tipping Ladder after Round 15

Round 15 saw three games played with most tipsters managing to score two for the round. The standouts this week were samFFC and Monocle who both selected all three games correctly over the weekend while the bonus point was won by Kram who selected a margin of 51 points, nine points off Subiaco's actual winning margin of 60 points.

After 15 rounds we have gaskin, RickSanchez and myself tied for first place on 43 points while fourth place is a five-way tie between Freofalcon, getgaff, Miguel Sanchez, Monocle and Spanna_.


Round 16 Fixtures

Peel Thunder vs South Fremantle at Bendigo Bank Stadium (2:15pm)
West Perth vs Swan Districts at Joondalup Arena (2:15pm)
Claremont vs East Perth at Claremont Oval (2:15pm, margin)
Perth vs East Fremantle at Lathlain Park (2:15pm)
Bye: Subiaco


Round 16 is on the horizon and we're back to four games this week, all of which are on Saturday afternoon and begin at 2:15pm. To start the round, Peel Thunder take on South Fremantle in a big clash for the Thunder as they try to keep their finals chances in tact against the Bulldogs. It's a match that neither club can afford to lose with Peel fighting for a finals spot while the Bulldogs will be looking to keep their hands on second place on the ladder. Next up sees West Perth coming off a bye to battle Swan Districts at Joondalup Arena. The Falcons can further tighten their grip on a top three spot and a potential double chance in the finals series while Swans need to win to keep in touch with the top five. After breaking their way into the top five, Perth have a big opportunity to consolidate their spot as they play host to East Fremantle at Lathlain Park. The Demons are up and about this year and have been impressive over the last six weeks while the Sharks have not the season they would have liked but still have a chance in the later part of the season to grab a few wins. Unfortunately there is no telecast game this week so I've selected Claremont vs East Perth as the margin match for the round in a game that sees the sixth placed Tigers face the fifth placed Royals. It's a big game for both clubs with the Royals looking to stay inside the top five while Claremont will be hoping to break back into the top part of the ladder after dropping out last week due to a bye.

In the other grades this week there are no changes with all Colts and Reserves games will start at 9am and 11:30am respectively.

The weather is not looking good this weekend with Saturday set to be a fairly wet day. Rain is expected during the morning and afternoon and heavy falls are possible in the southern suburbs so the game in Mandurah could be a wet one! A maximum of 20 degrees is expected with anywhere from 8-20mm of rain forecast at this stage.

Four big games this week in what is probably the most important round of the season so far. There's plenty to play for with clubs either looking to cement their spot in the five, win their way back into the five or simply stay in contention for finals. Hopefully we won't have too much rain on Saturday and we'll see some great games of WAFL footy. Happy tipping!!
