Enright was cleared to play, yet received a reprimand after he cleaned up Selwood and busted the WC player's shoulder.

Looked worse than Waite's bump that had him suspended.

Enright was in the air when he made contact.

Amazing that they cleared Enright because he has a clean sheet, yet they wanted Browne to go to the MRP in his first game for a bump that wasn't even his fault.

IIRC, we only got Browne off because we appealed.

Ought to be dropped for giving away a 50 metre penalty for a blatant fabrication - Vozzo clearly stated on the telecast that the penalty was for "leaving the ground after Bate had marked the ball".

Why do they continually get to lie to justify their actions yet not get called up on it?
At least politicians have a limitation date.

In fairness, things happen very quickly when the game is in full motion. In real time it would have been difficult for the umpire to judge and have no real issues with it. If he has done nothing wrong, he won't have to face the tribunal (which is obviously the case here). Umpiring is very difficult, especially at the pace the game is played at nowadays and i don't envy them for what is a very unforgiving job.

Yes but umpires get the opportunity to review video and review their decisions and many often revoke their charge so that the player and the umpire do not have to face the stress of the wait and the indignity of facing a frivolous charge.

I commented about the charge being bullshit at the game and the demon next to me suggested I watch the game a little closer. I mentioned it would not even reach the MRP and it should not have, the umpire's ego must have got in the way of common sense when he reviewed the tape and I suggest a week in the scrub is called for, not for the original 50m or report but for not having the common sense or good grace to withdraw it.

Man I would love to see the look on the face of that Demon tool now that he knows I was right and he was not only wrong but his side got flogged!

In fairness, on the telecast he said "you made contact after he marked the ball" which was 100% true. Shame, I had just dialled 1300-ULYNCH when I realised

Yep... he got given 4 weeks with reduction to 3 weeks with an early plea... in which we appealed and he got off...
