Rumour Walker up for trade

Damien Barrett just announced on The Footy Show that Carlton will put Walker up for trade this year....

Also announced Mundy is looking to leave Fremantle. I would go with a strait swap for Walker with out even hesitating! Get it done! Unless there is a bigger trade avaliable but a player like him fits us well.

Straight swap for Mitch Brown could be another option.

If you listen to his father's post on CSC forum I don't think he's going anywhere. We barely trade players at the best of times. Kennedy and Fev have been the only 2 since whenever and they were for very good reasons. We get excited about trading our players each year for no reason.

Another thing he gave away is that Walker will be playing HFF this weekend..........at last!!!

hahahaha as if freo would swap mundy for walker, walker can barely make it into our best 22 while mundy is freo's best midfielder.

Walker is probably pissed he can't get a run in the midfield, personally I would have to agree with him a bit if he was but he has been fit and struggled to get a game latly but his form has been terrible since his collar bone injury. We wont be letting Walker go cheap, surely. I think if we did want to get Mundy and he wanted to leave I think Freo would prefer us as they would get stuff all from the GC.

If north gave us 17 for walker that would be day light robbery!! (what we paid for mclean does this trade alot of justice) so i wouldn't put it past them as there speedster harvey is nearly done and they need some outside pace! wouldn't be suprised if this was to go ahead. Good call sin

He's pretty honest - remember last year when rumour was about that Walks was put up for trade, his comment was "the AFL is a tough business,"


Unfortunately, Walks is a high draft pick which attracts a lot of attention.


Am a Walks' fan, however his tackling and decision making no doubt has to improve, but his kicking efficiency has improved a lot ... hopefully his shoulder, with it's newly found lack of flexibility, hasn't stopped his ability to tackle


This season was really his first full season in years, and even then it's wasn't a full season. deserves another season

I think if he played as a midfielder we might see more of that elite running power and fitness we keep hearing about.
