Toast Warnock and Hampson

my main criticism of hammer was the mark he dropped in the 3rd qtr when laidler had kicked in from fullback strait up the guts. Hammer dropped an uncontested mark in the centre and the momentum really swung from there!

lol you're kidding?

I watched that game and he was clearly one of their best

Got votes from his coach too. .. However we don't know the full story, might have pulled up a bit sore and with Petrie back this week, no need to throw him back in. ..

Still think if Hammer continues to step up as a Forward there is room for all three in the team when Kreuz returns, as Humphrey can probably play a Wing/Midfield running role to start with. .. If not, Hammer looks like he has improved enough to allow us to rest Nocka or Kreuz without too much quality loss. .. The three interchange might force rucks to have a rest in the twos occasionally. ..

Funny thing with Hammer, I've got a feeling with the side we're playing tonight that their selection committee will watching him just as intently as ours.

Having said that, he will possibly play a blinder just to push his stocks up.

So by any measure, a goal a game from a top flight ruckman is very good in todays footy. If we get a goal a game between our rucks for the year we will be doing ok. Its not that common.

I think Ryder and Hille are the best goalscoring combo at the moment, and they only got 37 goals last year between then (from 37 games). So you're on the money here.

Nic Nat is a freak on a par with Kruze and both are better than 206 or Hammer but I think Kruze is better than NicNat but only because he is a year ahead.

Kreuzer and Warnock are both better than NicNat by a fair margin. NicNat will never be as good as Kreuzer is now, let alone at his peak.

(You seriously underrate Mumford in my view too. One of the best in the league, certainly in the best three younger rucks with Kreuzer and Ryder, and the best pure ruckman of the bunch. Haven't seen enough of Goldstein to comment as yet.)

Warnock I thought was decent in the game and will play better for sure. I thought Hampson was pretty poor though and think the expectation that he will naturally improve is optimistic. Doesn't look like he will ever be a natural marking type.

Yep that really pissed me off. Kind of forgot about it; could have cost us the match! A simple chest mark would have been fine... :thumbsd:
