Exactly, pick 24 is all we should offer, as I said, anymore and we will be giving up to much in our situation. Personally I'd rather keep it but it seems inevidable to me that we will use it to get Robbie somehow.

I guarantee you they get more. Warnock can nominate into the PSD but Fremantle feel they still hold some position of power cos you cant nab him in the PSD

I think pick 24 and a player will get him over the line. Since Pratt was the pres all of a sudden things are happening. I think in a good team with a great midfield like the one we have he will be a star.

Nope, ever since ive started reporting my inside knowledge youd see im 4 from 4. Nothing to see here other then what I know. Freo will be chasing 3 picks, you will offer picks 24 and 56. A mini stand off will occur, What happens then is anyones guess. All I can report is the initial beginnings of a negotiation. Im not here to predict things out of my ass like the rest of yous

The PSD tool is way overestimated on these boards.
When push comes to shove, Fremantle will deal.
They're not going to be all that happy with the deal either way, so they'll be happy to get something in return, rather than losing him in the PSD for nothing.
If he went through to the PSD, shit would hit the fan at Fremantle more than we would be worried at Carlton. And I doubt Fremantle would be prepared to lose a young talent like Warnock for nothing, just to spite us.

I'm not sure you guys know what your getting. He's something i wrote in another thread.
From a guy who has followed his career pretty closely i'll let you know what your getting.
Was sought out by Fremantle pre-draft regarding his eating habits. Entered the draft. Looking like the following:

Most clubs had doubts over an anorexic looking 204cm player ever making it to the required physical level. Turns out he was eating like a horse and was at the end of a recent growth spurt.
The thing Fremantle liked about him was his excellent endurance. Was elite amongst potential draftee's and beat many players smaller than him. Beep test from memory was 13.1.
Came to the club and put on 10kg over 1 preseason. Started in the WAFL reserves and was clearly too classy and found himself in the senior side after a handful of games. Was way ahead of development. The club had signed him on a 3 year contact from the start given where he was starting.
By the end of his debut season he was a regular at WAFL level. Still looked skinny as a rake.
Preason 2, manages to put on another 10kg. Now into the high 80's. Still looked skinny but started to dominate in the WAFL. Justin Longmuir retired after 1 game in the 2007 season. Warnock got his chance mid way through the season with some stella form in the WAFL.
Subsequently Sandilands goes down with injury and Warnock is left to lead the ruck in his 2nd season at the club. (refer back to that picture again). Surprisingly he does exceptionally well. In games where Cox was meant to dominate, Warnock is clearing the ball and gathering possessions. He has his best game for season 2007 against Carlton. 16 possessions and 16 hitouts.
His most impressive stuff is when he chases down midfielders who try and go around him laying some big tackles. Very fast off the mark. Also he has more finesse than Sandilands in the tap work. Fremantle fans get overexcited and start claiming it'll be hard for Sandilands to get back the lead ruck.
Preseason 08 rolls around. He hurts his lower back. Gets games at the beginning of the year when he wasn't ready. Performs poorly and is dropped. He is now playing WAFL at West Perth. Mark Seaby, Kepler Bradley and Adam Campbell all playing their. So at best he's getting 50% time in the ruck, sharing the duties with Mark Seaby.
This when all the rumours of him leaving start. Eventually finds form and is brought back to the senior team. Does well in combination with Sandilands and eventually hurts his shoulder. His season ends early for surgery.
Here we are.
He's grown 2cm taller, he's now 206cm. Weighs in the mid 90's but is still shy of a mature body. Probably needs to shade a 100kg before he could bang bodies regularly with the top rucks. He's got the same armspan as Sandilands and a pretty good leap.
From the last 5 drafts how many ruckman would be classed better than Warnock:

He's definately in the top 5 ruckman drafted in the last 5 years.
I rate Leuenberger slightly ahead of him at this stage. Only because Leuenberger is younger by 12 or so months and achieved the same results. Kreuzer is a better forward/ruck but Warnock is a lead ruckman. So they are hard to compare.
Their aren't many better young ruckman running around at the moment. Maric from Adelaide seems to have recently made the big league. He is young and one of the better prospects going around, but he's more physically ready.

How do you know it's failed. Has Warnock actually been traded to Carlton yet? Ever heard of ducks and drakes? So much water to go under the bridge.BTW that powerpoint presentation seems to have failed. lol. And you might need another fundraiser to pay for the AFL fine for approaching Warnock before the end of the season.
And no we won't be fined over the presentation..
And also I won't be too upset if we miss out on paying a player with 20 odd games $400,000 over 4 years. You can try and fit him into your bulging salary cap.

Excatly, since the ridiculous stance taken by Port Adelaide with Nick Stevens, clubs would rather get less than market value for their players than lose them for nothing. warnock will not go to the PSD.

Robbie Warnock is a bit more classy then Nick Stevens. He wont go in the PSD. Bookmark it. Ill donate 10 000 to Carlton Football club if he goes int he PSD

Nick Stevens going to the PSD was not his decision, he wanted to play for Collingwood and Port adelaide refused their offer. It was Port who forced him into the PSD, they were willing to accept nothing rather than trade with Collingwood for less than what they wanted.

No idea champ - Cloke has done well as a stop gap ruckman but lacks the size and talent to be an elite AFL ruckman.. How many games were we absoloutely smashed out of the centre despite an A1 midfield group as a result of opposition ruckmen giving their mids an armchair ride.
Forget about Clokey who has a crack and was good this year - he will still be a good depth payer have a run in the fwd line at times. But with Kreuzer, Hampson and Warnock we will potentially have 3 genuine elite AFL ruckman on our books, which is a great luxury. The best thing about it is that ruckman retain their value so well and are always in high demand so 3-4 years down the track if any of Kreuzer, Warnock and Hampson become expendable they are going to be worth as much if not more than they are now in the trade market. Get Warnock at all costs, he shows all the makings of a great beanpole (ala Sandilands) mobile ruckmen only he has better foot skills. It is a shame for C Cloke who has beena good foot soldier and has a crack but he isn't the answer long term and willplay a lot of footy at the Ants next year, which shows the list is improving all the time...
Also mate forget about Blackwell as a trade option,, why would any club want him on their list clogging it up.. What is it with people who continually throw out ridiculous trade scenarios. Blackwell will be dleisted but holds no currecy in the trade market, Thei dea of trading is to improve your list not clog it up with hacks from other clubs. Why not give them Saddington and Ackland as well using your logic ???
