We've lost too many players this year already - we should keep Mundy.
Obviously if he wants to stay he's a required player but it looks like he'll put his hand up for a trade in the near future.

Warnock hasn't nominated Carlton all Judd says was he would love to have him there. Anyway Freo should demand to 2nd round picks or a good young player and a 3rd rounder, anything less and we would have been been robbed.

I would like to keep mundy, but i just have a feeling that he will want to go home.
something smells wrong to me. Unusual that the only word comes from the nominated club
i don't like the deal in that article. i would be happy to get griffen over here, but carlton only losing pick 24 is daylight robbery
why so bitter?Picked one club...Freo's chances of getting what he is worth just fell like a brick.
Now we face a new problem. We've seen how ruthless other teams are. We thought we had Rob locked in. No luck. Carlton and Freo have done a deal to screw us over.
Enough IS enough.
If you're going to risk having Warnock just walk out anyway you HAVE to try and take the best deal on the table be it with Carlton or anyone. It'd be stupid of Fremantle or ANY club in this position to lose a player for nothing now.
If Carlton is his preferred club. We need to secure pick 6. Simple.
Pick 6 will lessen the hurt from losing Warnock.
Though i'd still prefer to keep him given the choice.
Before he left we had the best ruck combo in the business. Just needed to add the midfielders.
Now we have taken a step back and need to find a 2nd ruck.
I'd do the following:
Warnock + pick 21 = Armfield + pick 6.
I like Armfield. Has excellent pace and could be a good shutdown small backman. Would release Hayden which is great.
Pick 6 is off the table
Thats short term thinking.
By Warnock picking Carlton, and them actually rating him highly, it gives Freo more leverage for trade.
If Carlton dont offer us a good deal then we let him go through to the PSD, this will serve a warning for other players/clubs that we wont tolerate being screwed over.
Lets face it, if his brother wasnt in the AFLs worst club, then he would be doing all he could to avoid playing for the Demons when there are so many better Melbourne clubs to play for. This type of scenario wont repeat itself to much in the future.
the best result for freo is to come to an agreement with melbourne.
something like the ''veal'' deal pick 17 or 19 to freo for a crap player
warnock goes into the psd ends up at melbourne (both clubs happy)
there is also extra benifit for freo with this result which is melbourne would of already got their RUCKMAN & wont be intrested any longer in natanui which fremantle so desperately want imo.
but if melbourne dont get warnock they will most certainly take natanui
with pick1 . no doubt
both teams win.
1. melbourne gets warnock & watts
2. freo gets pick 17 & natanui
3. both melbourne & freo get to screw the cheating tankers
if carlton want him get them to pay pick 6 or eff off
I don't think he will be able to put a price on his head, will only get a 2 year basic contract.two problems with this.
1. robbie may not want to go to melbourne. everyone is assuming that if freo make a deal with melbourne, that all will be sweet, but if robbie has his heart set on carlton, he wont sign with melbourne
2. if robbie indeed does not want to become a dee, then he can walk into the NATIONAL draft, where anyone can get him, the highest bidder will win and freo will again get nothing for him
two problems with this.

your points are valid but.
point 1 in this situation robbie doesnt have a choice for the following reasons. if he doesnt accept going to the deamons & elects to go in to the n/d can he nominate his price it was suggested that he cant but im not sure.
2.point is i dont think he will elect to go into the draft & will accept the deal melbourne, fremantle have come to .melbournes picks are before carltons so there is no way he will end up at carlton.
but the buety of this deal is if he enters n/draft he will end up at port adelaide without a doubt. that is something warnock will not risk
he will accept & go to play with his brother or carlton WILL give fremantle pick 6.
fremantle are know in a very very strong position CALL HIS BLUFF
freo have nothing to lose & pick 6 to gain.
it will also show furure players & other clubs that you are not a team that are prepared to be bent over anymore.

1. If Melb choose him he has the choice of sitting out a season, not being paid and pissing off his bro ...from what we hear about Robbie none of these 3 are appealing.
2. With a 50-50 chance of ending up outside of Vic.
A deal will get done.
My favourite post from the Melb board.
How dare we trade their number 1 pick in the PSD ...we are ruthless B's aren't we?
That is some of the most brilliant thinking ever chopper
We can hold freo to absolute ransom. The conversation between our footy manager and freo's should go something like this at trade week:
Connells: "look bondy, umm if you want natanui we need a ruckman too so how about we take warnock of your hands for say ummm nathan carroll or umm for free in the pre season draft.
Chris Bond : "get stuffed we will trade him to a club for better than that crap!!"
Connells: "ok fair enough you trade warnock to who you want, ive just got to call jack watts to tell him to not nominate for this years draft so i guess since we cant get warnock off you best we take natanui with pick 1. Anyway thanks Bondy" connells walks away
Chris Bond: "wait connells!!!! ive just spoken to harvs and he seems to think Nathan Carroll would be a great addition to our club and we think that is a fair deal."
Connells: "Ok bondy lets go do the paper work"
Chris Bond : "Ahh connells, does that mean you wont take natanui with the number 1 pick now since you have a ruckman?"
Connells: "Maybe we will have to see, by the way what about David Mundy worth about a 3rd rounder is he?"
And that how we stooge the "old heave ho".
FREO WAY TO GO.
Well, this is my favourite from that $hit-hole called Melbourne board.
Hahahaha, how dumb is this bloke. He forgets that people responsible for Freo's bad trading are at the helm at his mob.
Didn't want to post there because I'd get carded....their mods are pretty easy on the trigger.
