i bag the things he's done but i don't hate him at all. i've been following his progress since he started opening in the ODI's, and i'm as pleased as anyone that he's stepped up in test matches.

The way he stares down other players with his sarcasm, really does my head in. I actually find him to be embarrassing, embarrassing that he is representing Australia. After the Gayle I thought he would of changed but he hasn't. He still continues to prance around and start trouble. Every ball he bowls he needs to hold his ground halfway down the pitch and stare the batter down. He's a flipping schoolboy.
Yes he's in great form but trust me the guy is an A-Grade STIFF!

It's true. Australia can't handle having Prince Charming Sir Watson as their number 1 player. Plays amazing cricket, smashes supermodels & knows it.
It's easy to laugh at Big Merv & David Boon, they were fat dudes from the rungs of society. Watson however is an educated, handsome all Australian hero and a lot of people just can't handle how much better he is then them. Quite sad.

That is a load of absolute crap. Exactly how is Watson soft? Is he soft because he scores runs when Australia has its back against the wall? Is he soft to repeatedly push through injury in a bid to get back to the test side? Is he soft when he regularly takes the important break throughs with the ball when the opposition is getting the ascendancy?
Watson feeds off aggression from the other sides, he loves it when things get a little heated. He is about as far from soft as you can get. if you are going to post this garbage at least have something to back it up.

It's not garbage, Gayle did say he was soft and for good reason. Out on the field he is easy to wind up, as shown by his little temper tantrum sending off Gayle after he apparently baited him.
He also sooks when things don't go his way on the field and to make it worse he has wasted numerous referrals because he can't handle decisions going against him.
That's why I and a lot of other people don't like him.
Oh and I forgot, I also hate him because he's handsome, drives a nice car and has a hot girlfriend.

Agree for different reasons. Comparing Watson to a rapist & a sex addict is kind of insulting. While they are all at the pinnacle of their chosen sport, Watson has maintained his moral compass. Yeah, he gets excited sometimes. But at the end of the day he can control himself and maintains a solid sense of decency. IMO this elevates him from hero to legend.
Poll results aren't too surprising. The percentage of people voting yes is probably identical to the amount that don't support Australia on here. I wish I was cool enough to be one of you lot. It's so edgy going against the grain and hating your own national sporting team. You're all awesome
