I read with interest that Watts has been dropped from the WWT league team.

He has been named as an emergency by Adelaide.

As I do not live in SA, can anyone tell me where he will play on the weekend.

Are Adelaide taking him on the road for the experience, with the view of him getting a game soon, or will he replace a selected player in the team.

Your help would be appreciated.

There is injury cloud over 2 players (Bassett and Begley) and general belief is that if these 2 drop out (as expected) then Watts and Torney will come in. I don't think AFC would take a player as a travelling emergency just for the experience unless their SANFL clubhas a bye.

I think he will play and Bassett will fail fitness test today. I guess we will know later today.

Thanks for this information, Stiffy.

I always read your comments with interest and respect your point of view on most issues. Keep up the good work.

l am looking forward to seeing F Watts play his first game for the AFC but is it wise to play him if it is going to be a cold rainy day in Melbourne.

If Bassett fails his fitness test ,play Brent Reilly who is a small quick on baller instead.

Let F Watts play for WWT and then give him a game the week after against Carlton @ AMMI.

Well he's on his way to Melbourne so I dare say he's going to play. Watts selection in the starting 21, is more to do with whether or not Wayne Carey pulls up alright tomorrow. I doubt he was ever going to take Bassetts place in the team. Forward for a defender???

Watts starting his career in defence is not out of the question.

I think I'm right, in that Watts played a most of his junior career as a CHB, until reverting to CHF.

I don't know about most, but he's certainly played both.

Rucci seems convinced in today's 'tiser that Watts is playing today, and that someone apart from Carey is not playing.

He went on to suggest that Hawthorn think it might be Bock.

Interesting.

I believe that he's in Melbourne, playing or not.

It'll be intersting to see if he does play.

Neil Craig said on the news yesterday that "if he's not needed he'll be on the flight back to adelaide at 9amto play with the Eagles"
So i recon he'll play then.

I heard before the game that Fergus was still in Melbourne around 1:00. On 5AA they even said that someone saw him in Melbourne.

Perhaps Fergus for Skipworth next week?

He definetly caught a plane this morning and was due to play for Eagles today. Anyone know if he played for the seniors or reserves?

Seniors. 5AA provided SANFL score updates during todays Crows game and stated that Watts had kicked two goals for the Eagles.

I am pretty sure I was told today that he was on his way back from Melbourne and will play for the Eagles.

Just checked on the Eagles website and you're right. watts played and he kicked a couple of goals.

Keep him in the SANFL I would say, maybe up until the mid-season break. Or bring him in and keep swapping him and Stevens off the bench!
