Against this fraudulent football club and demand changes be made at the top.
It's clear Costa isn't going to do a damn thing about Thompson's position and the selection committee are among the dumbest in the AFL.
I know i'm sick to ****ing death of this same old garbage year after year.....Thompson is coming to the end of his 7th year at the club and he has delivered sweet **** all. Costa is basically keeping him on at the club on a 'promise' he made years ago. What kind of business man sits back and watches this **** week in and week out? His head must be saying "gee it would be good to have a coach that actually had tactical abilities and had a bunch of players he could inspire and have them want to play well for him, but hey it's a promise....i'm sure the fans won't mind another year of utter crap"
Costa is as friggin pathetic as the hopeless prick in the box that we call our coach.
It's one thing to sit here and want changes but it's another thing to go out and make our opinions felt. I for one have had enough and i'm ready to tackle this club on like any true supporter would.
What do ou guys think? Are you with me in these feelings that the supporters should come out and let it be known at the club, us guys...the ones that fill these idiots pockets and keep this club alive. Or are you willing to accept this complete crap for another 43 years?

Gotta go... 7 years and we are now going backwards after our peak in 04.

He failed. Lets try again.

Great post dude, I'm 100% on your side. Count me in. I can't wait for Thompson's latest excuse, he's always got one or two up his sleeve.

Funny how Thompson said when he arrived he wanted to eradicate the "culture of the individual" at Geelong. I wonder what his position is on the "culture of the bull**** weekly excuse from the losing coach", or the "culture of the coach who doesn't mind losing". Interesting.

I don't think we could get rid of Costa, i'd definately want to focus on getting Thompson out of this club. This mug is the second longest serving coach at this club, we've had premiership coaches in the past shown the door in half the time Thompson has been here.

Costa and his lot have turned the club from a near, and I mean near, Fitzroy to a team that has money and promise behind them. Get off the grass you lot, Costa has turned this team around OFF the ground, it is up to the players and coach to turn it around on the park. Nothing to do with Costa.

Costa has a massive heart for the Cats in Geelong, without him the new stand wouldn't have been built. The council, several members hate the Cats and the way they ask for money all the time. Without Cook and him we would be nearly broke and could have been out of the league.

The players don't have the heart, SJ, Mackie, Kelly they just don't have the heart that others do. We are let down by so many players today, even King was terrible.

Don't have a go at the administration, when they have saved the club from being thrown out, and it really was that close. No bank wanted to take on the debt we had, there is only one option after that.

I think Costa has been fine - has turned the club around on (partially) and off the field. He is resigning next year anyway.

But Thompson won't go while Costa is there.

He better not give Thompson a contract extension before he leaves either as the new president should get to make his own decision as to who should be coach.

Like hell it has nothing to do with Costa.

He employs him, he can fire him.

Costa continues to offer unconditional support to Thompson, while the supporters see their hopes of a flag disappearing by the week is a massive problem. This coach is meant to be the man for the job, if you believe Costa's tiresome preaching, yet the supporters know that it couldn't be further from the truth. This year was meant to be the year, but it's going to end up as nothing but another wasted year.

7 years under Bomber and for what? A crappy pre-season cup? If you're happy with that, then good on you, but most of us want something bigger and we know that the only way for that happen is for a new coach to be appointed. But for that to happen, we need a new man at the helm.

Bye Bye Bomber. You had so much time and you blew it. Costa saved our club from going under no way hes going after what he did.

While we are at it. Get rid of lovell. He is a sad excuse of a coach. ****ed our midfield up.

I'm not suggesting Costa has been a joke at the club. There's no doubt that some of the moves he made financially and other key things he did with the football club certainly made sure that this football club survives. BUT that doesn't mean we have the right to sit here and accept mediocrity year after year. Costa has the power to make the change in that coaches box but he won't do it because he wants to honour the word he made years ago. You don't win friends or premierships in this business by trying to be a nice guy. Now he's starting to insult us supporters by trying to convince us that he has the right man in that coaches box. Deep down i bet you that Costa knows what the right thing is to do but he's going to ride out the final 18 months he's here and go out 'honourably'.

Only once the performances start hurting the club wallet... To be realistic, we will all buy our memberships next year  , Thompson will be there and if he doesn't make the finals again in '07 he will be given the flick.

I'm right behind a new coaching staff though... and a new captain. King is finished. Who should take it is a hard ask IMO. Mooney - NO!!! It's hard when you don't know the players attitudes off the ground, but I would like to see Bartel or Chapman have a go..

Average

Our couch will leave when he feels he has done what he can with our team.

Our problems are leadership qualities.

It will be time for a clean out at the end of the year.
It is a good draft so lets have a go.
We do not want to be burdened with more of the same.

Will they stand up or not?
Give them games till they hit there straps after inguries?
Is our captain fit? Will he ever be fit??

Our seconds team is full of experienced players so the team has plenty of depth.
But the truth is that the depth IS average.
Geelong is average
We are average on the ladder
You can not deny the truth

We still support them but the truth is the truth

I agree on the captaincy issue...and I think Kign will hand it over.

Give it to Chappy.

Does anyone here honestly believe we would have won a flag by now with another coach?
Possibly. Thompson has always been pretty poor tactically. It's not a question anyone can answer.
I remember in late 1999 sitting in the stand behind the goals when Thompson was introduced to the club listening to him PROMISE a premiership within 5 years. Not merely suggest we could challenge for a flag but promising he'd deliver us one.....7 years later we're still waiting, anyone who can sit here and honestly say that Thompson has been good and should be kept on as coach is completely stupid.

Im starting to sway now on Mooney, after yet another report today. Im starting to think the poor bloke just missed out on the era he should have played in! More like the mid-eighties.. he would have loved it :o
