Sad to say, but I struggle to remember a single Nelson highlight, a moment that makes you go 'wow'.
Is it me or is this not true of any player who can't kick more then 40m
Jack Graham played 97 games for Tigers and he is the same too.
You need to find roles for these players if you want to get a great team. Our inability to fill out our 22 with hard working role players a big cause of our issues

For the kind of player Nelson is you'd expect some memorable 1% like a goal-saving tackle or spoil out of 100 games. I just can't remember anything that wasn't meh or bad.

He shut down Fyfe in a derby as a tagger a few years back and did a great job. I always felt like that was his best role but he wasnt used that way enough I reckon.
Didn't mind Nelson, was good back up to have floating just outside the 22 in case of injuries. Could tag or play HBF so be interested to see if any other club takes him.

Agreed. Definitely was not well suited to playing deep in defence. Should have played midfield at WAFL level
My favourite part was when Nelson was compared to Sam Mitchell.

He could tag okay however had no hurt factor the other way. When he did get his hands on the ball would regularly turn it over.

He was a slightly more efficient Pat McGinnity without the tag out factor.
McGinnity did have that one game where he kicked four goals out of nowhere though
Dude is a human tank, I just wish he used it more.

Solid role player, a mcginnity sort of mould.
