Daw – Just Wow. Well First Quarter Wow. Basically monstered the Williamstown defence early doors. Kicked 2. Should have kicked more. Created several more. Too Strong. Too Athletic. Too Quick. For a while there it was literally a Majak show.
They finally played him in his correct position.

I share OS's view on Daw that he is not a first ruck. I think that at AFL level he would be hold his own to an extent but against the true behemoths will be just too small. 195cm is just not tall enough when it comes to boundary throw ins or repeat stoppage situations, especially as the game drags on.How come you don't see him as a ruckman? Ive only seen three werribee games this year but his tap work is pretty impressive. From what i can gather he has only been comphrehensuvely beaten once this year and that was by Bellchambers. I understand that he is undersized but his body, leap and 2nd efforts will more than make uP for it.
Thanks for the write-up numbers! How did you see Ayden's and Mangans name. While Mangan has been doing a good job as a lockdown defender in just not sure he has enough weapons in his arsenal to demand another year on the rookie list.

Has to be elevated to the senior list this year if we are to keep him.I like how we have been developing Daw. Ruck is the perfect place to give him an education to the game and allow him to gradually improve his tank. Now, the second phase of his development has hopefully started - playing forward. Time to put on show what he has learnt playing on the ball and to hopefully pick up a few tricks in the forward line. Play out the season there, get another pre-season under his belt and who knows where he will be early next season? By then he will be on the senior list and hopefully ready to explode!

wow, that is terribly written. I hope you guys know what I meanLove the wright up on Majak. Has me dreaming of a crazy forward line that would scare the crap out of opposition coaches. He seems to be getting better as the season goes on, bit more consistence
Oh ok. So he will.He has a contract for 2013 so I assume he was always going to be elevated.
Yep, due to his contract he is just about 100% sure of being elevated next year. Obviously he could be bought out and delisted, but that would be too drastic. He'll get his upgrade. I doubt he will play AFL in 2012 though.Has to be elevated to the senior list this year if we are to keep him.
How's Malcolm Lynch going? Always liked him as a player when he was with us. Any chance he'll get a gig with you guys before the end of the season?

Pretty obvious Daw's been exposed to a greater learning curve playin Ruck. I think the general consensus is to play forward/ pinch hit in the ruck. Hopefully he now takes a few steps forward in his true role.
2 yrs ago, one of our defenders can't remember who, said Maj was the hardest forward at the club to defend on. Obviously talking about a small aspect of the total role, but either way, 2 yrs on you'd think he'd be even more capable.
Still a long way, it's a win that he's still on the list and still showing commitment. Would love it if this works out. Jesus Christ if he turns into the player we all hope I will be an absolute bonanza for the club and even the game itself. .
