That, along with "loose" (as in opposite of win), would have to be my two pet-hates on these boards.

Oh, and trolling Poort and weevil supporters as well. :thumbsd:

Oh that's my other favourite word. I read it as it's written and imagine the poster to be drooling on his keyboard as he typed it.

There was a troll I read from a weavils supporter during the Juddgate saga, that you woulda loved IP.

The clown wrote "Freo supporters are feral", except he spelt it "ferrel".

I laughed my @rse off, and thanked him for the irony.

The worst became nothing more than a rag the day they published a photo of Haze's knob. How can anyone take them seriously.

I think what he's saying is that, since 1880, there has been footy in Freo. Between the various incarnations and separate clubs, there have been 45 premierships in the competition that has exited in WA since that time. This club should have been built to more closely reflect the long tradition of hard, tough successful football that has always existed in Fremantle. Nothing to do with merging the two WAFL clubs, "stealing" the history from either (or both) - but drawing on 115 years (at the time) of footy in the area. That's why Freo was chosen as the place to build the new club - because of the footy history.

That is partly the fault of the AFL, who did us few favours with putting our original list together, the WAFC who wanted complete control over who / what / where etc, and the early FFC administration who were less than average in their professionalism and approach to getting the "Freo-ness" right. That's how I see it anyway.

Your forgetting the Neesham/Claremont factor which effectively put paid to the possibility of the Club having any Fremantle culture/tradition certainly any East Fremantle tradition.
The fact that the WAFC put in place a dunce for a CEO a bigger dunce for a FM an inexperienced gumby for a Recruiting Manager because Neesham wanted him and several other Neesham mates, gave the Club a handicap that still has some effect all these years later.

I think this post says it in a nutshell. Unfortunately the dockers never learnt from the eagles mistakes they made in the early days in regard to setting up their club. We went down the same path with John Todd and it took us a while to recover from those mistakes. Also the strong word was Nisbett offered them some help and they refused, so they have only themselves to blame.

We like to knock them but todays article is spot on.

Inaccuracy leads to Dockers' fall

Our accuracy has been a strength in the last two seasons but has been a liability this year.

Even the Derby scorline flattered the mob up the road.

Still a disgrace that there is absolutely nothing in todays paper about the Freo board getting a new Mod though.

Typical fancy not mentioning something as important as that, who is it by the way!

The West Australian newspaper , full of WC supporting journalists has been a disgrace to the media industry ever since Freo were formed. But today they have hit new depths.

Their headline to sack Connolly and then hide behind it being a statement from an Eastern State media commentator is unbalanced, unjustified and typically cowardly. Whether he goes or not, the team is 6-6 and one week is a long time in football. West Coast during the off season were a disgrace to AFL football were their off field behaviour, criminal connections, club captain running from police, pathetic excuses etc. But the West meekly joined in criticism at best..

Now they are going beyond showing their true colours to deliver a personal opinion and then cowardly hide behind someone else. The sooner we get another media outlet in this city the better for all sensible football fans.
Everyone knows the West is a crap paper but you do your argument no good by misreresenting the facts yourself. I seem to recall the first 5 pages and the back page being devoted solely to Cousins run in with the law. Hardly meekly joining in criticism. In fact it was a perfect example of how this paper operates, more concerned with the headline than the factual content of the story .The Connelly story was way over the top, what credible newspaper has an article describing what a columnist wrote on the next page. The Wests disgraceful excesses have nothing to do with the Eagles.

The WAFC have a lot to answer for they new about all the mistakes that were made by the WCE, but they chose to ignore all of the lessons learnt and from that point on it was jobs for the boys. They figured as long as they had one succesfull club in WA their job was done.

And, Who is still our Recruiting Manager to this day?
And, Why is it when we have our full squad we go well?
Why when we have injuries or loss of form, do we not have quality second tier players to step up?

That is piss poor! Did someone at the Worst produce that shite or was it uploaded by some freak. If that was a Worst production it says alot of the mentatlity of the f***ktards that call themselves journalists at that dump. Why can't they do us a favour and just sell the TV guide seperately from the main rag.

The trick to making those videos work is how funny/biting you can make them compared to how much effort goes into making them.

That one goes for about 5 minutes, and looks like it took someone a hell of a lot of time and energy to make, yet is Rove-esque in terms of quality. I almost feel sorry for whoever made it, as they idea was there and they clearly tried hard, but they were that wide of the mark they wouldn't have hit a second set of stumps.

The fact that the video is so lame is only the first part - the bigger issue is that someone at that contemptible rag decided to upload it and that it is actually on their site, and not just on some no-life-loser's youtube collection.

They've made a pretty big accusation there in regards to the smoking dope.

Surely, if they can't substantiate those accusations there could be legal rammifications?
