AFLW Season 2021 Update

Its looking more and more likely the 2021 AFLW season will be placed into hubs due to the current ongoing situation with Covid19 in New South Wales as well as Victoria now with the WA government bringing back its hard boarder with Victoria as of tomorrow.

The AFLW is considering hosting hubs in Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland & Northern Territory if the situation worsens over the next fortnight with the AFLW season set to begin in late January.

AFLW Season 2021 Update

It's looking more and more likely the West Coast Eagles AFLW team and Gold Coast Suns AFLW team clash in round one on the Gold Coast will be called off and rescheduled with the Western Australia government bringing back its hard border with Queensland as of tomorrow due to another Covid19 outbreak in the Eastern states.

More information to come over the coming days and weeks in the lead up to the 2021 AFLW season.

has been super impressed by young draftee Bella Lewis this preseason stating “She’s just a natural footballer is probably the best way to describe it,”

“She reminds me, obviously being involved with the men’s footy for a long period of time, when you see a raw 18-year-old male come in and they’ve got all the tools, it’s just how to connect that to AFLW."

“She’s been really good in all the training, played things like AFLX – seven v seven and nine v nine – and she’s probably been the standout trainer from that point-of-view."

“She’s got good game knowledge and really good skill, and she’s hard at the ball. She’ll be a really good player for a long time for West Coast.”

Season 2021 AFLW Update

The West Coast Eagles AFLW clash with the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast could potentially go ahead at the end of January with the WA Chief Health Officer Dr Andy Robertson stating Western Australia hard boarder with Queensland may come down in atleast two weeks if their is no proven community spread within the state of Queensland in that timeframe.
