I remember about a month ago when we lost to Hawthorn many people were hinting that our season was over and we were not the side we hoped to be. What a difference a month in football makes, we were 3 and 4 and are now 7 and 4. I just hope that in the next month things don't go downhill, but hopefully things will just keep getting better! :thumbsu:

The more the week closes in, the more I'm starting to think the Pies can get up over Carlton this week.

I say this because the club seems to quickly learn from its mistakes at the genius of Mick Malthouse. Hawthorn beat us in their intensity, so we go ahead the next few weeks and beat everyone else in our very own intensity.

That intensity probably wasn't quite there in round 4 vs. Carlton as much as it could have been. That, and other errors that I'm sure will be looked at.

There's definitely room for improvement, which is fantastic. A loss to Carlton this week wouldn't be too heart breaking I wouldn't think - it would probably act as extra motivation to take down the Bulldogs.

we were pathetic in rd 4 and blues played out of their skin. and they only beat us by 23 points.

would be disappointed if we didn't beat them comfortably this week.

those people saying our season was over were pathetic , they are the same people sitting there now saying if we lose to carlton our seasons over.

sure it might jeopardise our top 4 spot by not winning a winnable game, but man people over react, its frustrating to read sometimes.

I'm still holding my breath this week.

After that I'll do a happy dance and start singing we are the champions.

Come on Pong, dare to dream.....now sing out:

We are the champions, my frrrrieeennndddd, and we'll keep on fighting  'til the end.......

Everyone join in....that's right......belt it out. Louder! Let's hear you out here in Hurstbridge.....good. You too Maggie..........shout it out from Bundy.......Opti....get all the Target staff singing......ScottyD.....do it for the Horshamites..........thatday, get St Bede's Boys' Choir to harmonise.....TRS is conducting, Swanny36 on keyboards, Beez on base, Gymnorhina Tibic on trumpet, Coin Toss on the Lambeg Drum, Rebel County on the oul orange flute (sorry :p) .......Pie-Eyed on percussion, Swiftdog on castanets.......Tess, get your old mum to join in too. DW - aha! A tenor! Lovely.......MDC is getting a sway going.........Bloben turns out to be a baritone.......Chase the Ace is a surprise as a soprano........Pipeline on the bagpipes.....Jabso shaking his maracas and Vinnie V playing fiddle - that Irish sound..... Frantelle and Shellz have abandoned their books......Kirby is looking optimistic  as he hums.....MarkT is reaching for a high note -he's not happy with the rest of our efforts up that end of the scale....Favourites is doing the video...Palmer Stoat is trying to keep us in tune. Dave the Man is trying to get us to go off-key. Hellfire's on fire - vocally - and Ralu's really rocking....Smoky's steaming, and even Sloth is getting fired up............got to go work. Just keep singing............

You crack me up Snag... Baritone :D

Don't tell me you're a soprano as well? If that's the case, you and PieLebo and Chase the Ace can get together and give us; Three Little Maids from School. This is getting to be a really classy forum.:thumbsu:

That's even funnier because back in the good ol' days in the UK my mum actually played one of the three little maids from school!!

Although it should be

Four Small Forwards way cool are we

Four Small Forwaaaaaaars way cool!

i never gave up on the list like some! i just thought it was going to be form slump, which is normal given the lack of games played and leadership on field. What a difference burns makes!!! dreamteam has captains earning double points, i reckon it should be triple at least...
i will admit that i had conceded playing finals, but now that burns is fit and firing i think our luck may have changed (touch wood)

After the Hawthorn game I'm not sure if I said it here but I was saying we looked tired. The week off, plus the Hall of Fame game which all 4 players did well, we had a club refreshed & flying.

how about that fool that became a hawks supporter.

I always felt we were a little bit away from doing this the past month has shown we can.

lets kill the blues and go five in a row

.....'cos we are the champions of the wooorrrrllllddddddd...:p

I'm growing my poodle 'fro and tuning up the Les Paul for a 12-track overlay of the national anthem right at the end of it ('for the good ole...' (2 minute solo) 'colling....' (1 minute solo) 'WOOOOODDDD!!!) (fireworks, streamers and a Eureka-tower-size effigy of Bucks unveiled amidst 39,999 small children painted all black and all white streaming across Birrarung Mar).

I'd hoped you would.:thumbsu: And the real Bucks emerges from the giant sweet right foot of the effigy, and is led to the podium in the middle of the MCG by MagpieGirl and BigBucks, dressed respectively as Ceres of the Goal Harvest and Athena of the Footy Smarts, and welcomed by Spartan Magpie in his Apollo outfit, radiating rays of black and white.

I think it'll work. And Fadeaway is doing security.;)

I will be down right gutted if we lose this one. If we play well and the Blues beat us in a great match I'll gladly cop it on the chin. BUT if we put another insipid performance for what was last time meant to be one of the greatest inspirations for winning ie. handing the blues their biggest winning streak .... well I'll be out for blood and more importantly simply disappointed our team cant show consistency.

I will be expecting a professional 5+ goal win and I can't wait to cheer Bucks when he does his lap. :thumbsu:

Even the Carlton fans say they're going to cheer him - just before we sound the Deguello, and then it's no quarter given.

3066, you're lighting all 3066 candles that form the crown on top of Bucks' effigy's head.

I'll tell you, if you'll tell me? Is BB male or female?:D
But TRS is conducting. I'm taking notes for an article to be posted in The Library thread.:thumbsu:

Can't wait 'til this afternoon. It'll probably be impossible to get a photo of Nathan with everyone leaping up and down. Come to think of it......I might use Hell of Mill Park as a battering ram.
