It was a complete lack of respect from both the coaching and the playing group that no one thought it was poignant to man up on Chaplin with the performance he was putting in against us.

I thought he deserved the medal to be honest.

If you had a similar record against other teams then sure, but you can't spud it up for 0-9 and suggest that a showdown win means you are better than people think - which is the analogue to your point.

Port won 8 in a row against us in the 2000-2004 ish period when they were near the top.. They have definitely beaten us more often when they're underdogs than we have done to them..

Since 2nd showdown of 2008 (including that one), they've won 4 out of 5.. Each of those wins they were underdog pretty well as we know they've been bad for 3 years now..

Our main wins came in 2005-06, a few back in late 90's and we won 3 around 07-08..

F oath we were. I was so confident I picked us by 83 points in the Advo comp and have the match ball to show for it. Signed by two true Showdown legends Warren and Roo. there were none out there tonight.

His opponent last week playing for perhaps the best side in the league didn't kick four and set up countless scoring shots like the tall forward did this week in one of the lesser sides of the comp.
Davis managed to spoil the ball more then one time when warranted and matched his player on the lead unlike some punks that can't punch the ball away from small forwards they are a head taller then.
Davis may not have high stats but he's accountable.

I'm pretty sure he did pretty well since he got rising star nomination last week, sounds like the perfect time to drop him for some switched off duds.
Honestly if Johncock wasn't there we'd just about never of cleared the ball.

Henderson is looking pretty awesome though really. Nice if he didn't catch the yips too. Walker seriously cannot kick from directly in front and is pretty poor when he takes more then a couple steps to kick... on an angle he is much more accurate... ridiculous you have all these expensive facilities for training and you can't sort out players set shots. All these players kick better on the run yet get no momentum in their shot and too close to the man on the mark... If someone would just suggest to walker and henderson they are on the boundary line when they line up they will probably slot it. It's possible they don't practice straight on and mostly on the boundary. They certainly don't square up to goal too well.
