Yeah, have to be fair, reviewing it was the right call. It looked out, but there was nothing to lose by reviewing.

I'd have been tempted to review even if the reviews weren't about to rest. It was clipping the very top of leg, could have easily been going on to miss instead.

That's not to excuse him getting out that way though. For a weakness this bad to have plagued him this long has to suggest he's just not put the work into fixing it.

He has made a career out of it. It's weird that once he was back in the team for Marsh's injury he automatically was the 'incumbent'.

An incumbent who is 34, doesn't take wickets and can't bat at 6. It's symptomatic of this team really that the selectors consider the cupboard so threadbare that he's constantly in the team despite stuff all output.

Having said all this, I wouldn't have expected Marsh to do much better with the bat than Watson. He's not used to playing this sort of swing bowling, he'd have to learn how.

But he certainly won't learn sitting on the bloody bench.
