Just a bit curious as to what exactly the person in this role would do. And how it would value it would other than jobs done by Coaches, Recruiting Manager and Football Operations Manager. ie what do they do that is not already covered?

This is what I am hearing they do.You'd assume a list manager would be working to make sure you have the right balance of players at the right ages so they can get a number of good quality 23-28 year olds who have all played 100+ games at the same time which is a general requirement for winning a flag.
A list manager would give advice on what sorts of players you'd need to be getting rid of and what sort of players would need to be recruited.

But then when you think about it that is part of what the Coaching Panel, Recruitment Manager amd Football (Operations) Manager should be doing as part of their jobs?
Would they not also deal with contracts, negotiations, welfare etc?
