what is the most annoying phrase in the AFL?

Honestly, coach as a 'father figure' thing is getting overused a bit in general. They are grown men in a professional sport, lets not patronise them so much.

Yeah but they are footballers - the majority are giant children who get spoon fed life from their late teens.

I've never heard someone say give me a spell and football has absolutely changed my life upon hearing this phrase.

No one in Sydney would have any idea what I'm talking about and I think that's really grouse.

Don't forget that other atrocity - "going beautifully". Now used to describe the most menial function that a chimp could carry off with no fuss. Favoured by Andy Maher and James Brayshaw.

A critical piece of your bogan footy language toolkit.

'Loves the club'
Really not sure why it annoys me, maybe because it's so overused.

I'd love to hear "Hates the club but stays here because he's paid a lot".

Could be applied to a lot of mature agers who we suddenly find out were pining for another club all that time. Amazing.

Personaly the most anoying phrase in afl is "Umpiral Contact" when an umpire bumps into a player or "50m for dissent" when players have a beter view than the umpires do
