A few years back, I stayed awake just short of 72 hours and I wasn't even trying to.
Still to this day, I don't know how I managed it and no I wasn't on anything nor did I touch the booze.

Nah wasn't scared, just wanted sleep and couldn't.

My record pales into significance. About 44 hours and that might have included a black out or two. Half way through I had to cross the border between Bolivia and Brazil. I remember being scared at the time what might happen to me.

One time while I was in London, I started work at 8am and finished work at 11am the next day .... kinda throws you out a bit.
Now, I have a wonderful ability to take 7m 1s naps during my work day! Not too sure where the extra second came in, but it's there on the alarm :-D
