Get the feeling some people are not aware of the full context here.

For those who aren't, the quote is made up by a guy on Twitter, and Gerard has fully melted down over it because apparently he's a boomer who doesn't understand how the internet works. It's been great fun.

And I think it works so well because Miers has been legitimately been fantastic this season, and in a logical sense there's nothing much wrong with the statement (it's just that it implies something completely crazy which makes it sort of infuriating). It's brilliant work.
