Where`s Murph`s thread ?

He'd be top 5 in the B+F i reckon. He's made a knack of dominating periods of a match and getting things going our way.

That goal was magic and the reaction hopefully won a few more supporters over.

I'm holding off an opinion until further into the season.

Although I hate his guts, Walls said that Murph plays well in his first season, then drops off.

If he continues his form, great, but I'm still in "waiting and see"ing mode...

I'm still a Murphy hater, even though he has done a couple of good things lately.

Except for the turnover in the 2nd quarter when a Bomber took a mark (can't remember who) and Murphy gave a free kick away off the ball which got the ball turnedover.

And his celebration after kicking his goal late in the game still brought back bad memories of '99 and him holding the ball after the siren went.

That's one of Walls opinions which isn't backed up much by Murphs career.

He was only at Richmond for two seasons as a 17 going on 18 year old. Bit hard to judge trends off a players first forays into the game.

He then went to Carlton with his best season coming in '99 from memory (which was a few years after he got there), he did his knee in 2000.

Was traded to Geelong. Finished 3rd in the best and fairest but left after having a falling out with the club over the Milburn/Silvagni KO.

Back at Carlton where for once he probably lived up to Walls opinion of him.

To sum up, don't listen to Robert Walls.

To be fair it would probably be closer to say he's done a few bad things, not a few good things. He's done more than a few good things in his 7 games for us imo.

I can't believe people can't let go of the image of a player celebrating a great win, get over it.

Murph, Allan and Joey on the minimum wage. Murph for Cory McGrath, Allan for a 4th round pick we'd never have used in the first place. If that's not value for money i don't know what is.
