Which clubs have no right?

Port Adelaide - Yes they won a flag a few years ago, but were humiliated last year, then instead of their fans getting behind them for making the granny they left them for dead and refuse to attend any of their home games this year.

YEAH! That'll teach us for winning 17 games when the list was widely predicted as bottom-4 fodder in the preseason.

Also Essendon, they are completely finished and have little young talent coming through. i know they beat Carlton twice but it was obviously a fluke. They won't won another flag for 50 years

so we fluked you twice????

i didn't know you could fluke some by 6 goals:confused:

They seem to forget the fact, they have achieved nothing yet.

Which would be on par with you Mantis, and your team as they cannot get close to Hawthorn, even on a good day. You are the Watson of BF, try all day but cannot be productive. Waste of a spot, waste of oxygen.

Nice stuff I liked some of the posts about me, honestly found them pretty funny. I just can't believe a fair majority of Hawks supporters steared clear of this thread, it's unfortunate because they and Carlton supporters are the best to wind up. Stk, Melb etc just aren't as fun.

Not nearly as fun as winding up the Bummer supporters.

thanks SP. I appreciate it, Comrade.

As mentioned before, I am quite happy to get you off the roof-rack and into the car, whilst consigning TWITA, H2F or KFH to the boot for the duration of the journey, particularly if one of them has a portable DVD player and they pull out that DVD of Shane Crawford in the change rooms and what not.

Even so, I am still need all the guys mentioned above. This road-trip will not be for the faint-hearted.

Moreover, you will strike terror into the hearts of the West Horsham uber-bogans and the 16 year old mothers who are pushing the prams down the dirt-streets from the vantage point of the front bull-bar of our VN Commodore.

Biffinator.

Biff,

Freddy has kindly lent me his Kevin "Bloody" Wilson CD so we can brush up on the dialect of the local population.

I suggest we also add a trip down the Rundle Mall into our itinerary. In true local fashion we will spend the time traversing said mall with our heads pointed skyward just hoping and praying a cloud that looks like a Jarman brother appears, which will give us 3.5 hours worth of grossly repetitive conversation with the locals.

If we need to leave earlier, that's fine, but I think is a very important stop on our journey.

Who's bringing the travellers?

How can you even put sheedy and pagan in the same catergory? sheedy got us 4 flags and regular finals appearances, but after 27 years.. it was time to go. Pagan brought you wooden spoons and handful of over-rated dud recruits
and not 1 finals appearance. masters of the night final, that competition that no high rated players actually play in and nobody actually watches and thumped in the real season. piss off. your a complete and utter tool.

Sheedy is over rated. He stayed at the one club that had all the resources & money needed to recruit well & build players.
Essendon should have won three in a row from 1999-2001 but they stuffed up.
Pagan picked up a basket case at carlton that no one could fix in three years.but his record in juniors & seniors can't be questioned.

We are Melbourne, the greatest city in the world.

You are Essendon, some shitty suburb in the Western Suburbs.

We have Woneaemarriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have Reimers.

LOL

I'd rather have reimers who can play than your one year wonder.

Hey mate, thats very harsh. The money issue does not apply when he came to a club in 81 not having won anything for 20 years and turned them into a powerhouse of the competition. I agree we should of won more flags in that period highlighted but injuries and luck also determine your premiership chances. Not to mention he made Essendon one of the most supportered clubs in Australia plus his indigineous work and promoting the game in general.

Collingwood, Carlton, hello?

Essendon should have won three in a row from 1999-2001 but they stuffed up.

If by stuffed up you mean we lost to better sides on the day then yeah.. we sure did. Not sure what this has to do with Sheedy being "over rated".

The best coaches have coached more than one team with success.
Barassi, Jeans,Parkin.
Others like Robert Walls ( who I know everyone hates & thats fair enough ) coached Fitzroy from wooden spoon to finals in his first year 1981, proved he could win a premiership without stuffing up at Carlton 1987 when given a great team & then coached the biggest basket case of all the Brisbane Bears to their first finals 1995. Brisbane had a lot less resources than most clubs. They came close to beating Carlton in that final too & lost by 13 points. He also coached richmond to ninth ( but then again doesn't eveyone coach Richmond to ninth )
I don't particularly like Walls but I have a lot of respect for his success at other clubs. Sheedy should have moved on from Essendon in the early 90's & proved himself again elsewhere. God know if he went to Richmond & won a premiership with them he would be an all time great !!!
I have a lot of respect for Sheedy but he stayed at one club that already had the resources. He is a credit for what he has done & created the priemiership hunger that was missing. But he should have had another two premierships.

Thats what makes him even better, he elected to stay at one club and continued to re invent himself over and over, doubt many coaches could of done that in order to keep up with the changes in the game. As for winning another couple of premierships, i tend to agree but anyone should be satisfied with 4 premierships. As i said, luck and injuries have massive influences on your chances.

We shouldn't be too harsh on Sheedy at all. Sheedy WAS Essendon. The guy is an absolute legend, not only for what he's done for Essendon but for the game as well.

I don't think criticism of Sheedy because he wanted to stay at the one club or had the belief and backing of the one club for so long should exclude him from belonging to the group of "best coaches".. but then again this is Bay 13.

My toenail clippings could have coached that team to a flag.

As for his other "achievements" you list:

Fitzroy wooden spoon to finals in one year - no flag = fail.

Brisbane to their first finals - no flag = fail.

Richmond to ninth - you gotta be shitting me. This is an achievement? FAIL!

Sheedy should have moved on from Essendon in the early 90's & proved himself again elsewhere.

Maybe he should have but he decided to stay at Essendon and prove himself again.. by winning two more flags, the last of which was on the back of a season with only one loss.

God know if he went to Richmond & won a premiership with them he would be an all time great !!!

He is an all time great. This can't be seriously argued.. even on Bay 13.

I find it baffling that your respect for him is lessened by the fact that he stayed at one club. Yes he should've had another two flags but that's football.

No he wasn't. No one person is bigger than the club. This is what a lot of people had/have a hard time dealing with.

Not sure about clubs having no right but I certainly know why Beyonce sings "to the left to the left"......Everyone knows that I'm sure...:D

I'm not revealing the answer, I will leave that to some other clever poster.......

For me
- Melbourne - Do I need to explain what a pathetic excuse for a club they are, they have no heart, no future and yet they win one game and all of a sudden they are going to win the flag in the next few years.
Aww wook the wittle baby had his feewing hurt by a melbourne poster

With CarlScum we've won the most VFL/AFL Flags and more importantly, us the Pussies from Corio Bay STARTED the VFL/AFL.

If you don't like our rules (or the fact we will never change our jumper) go join the F-ing SANFL.
Pfft big woop. Melbourne wrote the FIRST EVER rules to Australian Rules football in 1859. We're the ____ing kings of this sport.

Carlton. Severe case of amnesia and complete and utter ignorance of the rubbish performances of the last 5 years or more. deliberately losing in order to snatch #1 draft picks and still be shit gives you no right to slag on any club.

Essendon: Would be beaten by the Carlton of last year
