Now I've left Roos off as IIRC he is retiring from coaching after 2016. Someone please correct if this is wrong.

I think Leppitsch, Hardwick and Longmire will go after this year. If Collingwood miss the 8 Buckley will be gone too. I think they'll make it though.

Correct, Goodwin takes over from Roos at the end of 2016. The exact time I'm not sure of but I'd imagine Goodwin will be in charge for the trade and FA period.

greg swan has stated publicly that a formal announcement that leppas contract will be extended to the end of 2017 is a formality and will be board ratified in the coming weeks.
the lions have the youngest and least average games list in the competition for 2016. leppas future has been discussed extensively on the lions board and the majority of fans support the extension. some of the points from the discussion.
1. leppa came into the club on the back of the go home 5 debacle, so not on his watch.
2. since the GH 5 the lions list turnover has been no more or less than you would expect from a side that has been down in the lower regions of the ladder for an extended period of time.
3. the club has been rebuilt from board level down since the end of season 2013 with the likes of greg swan, leigh matthews, craig lambert, peter schwab and damian austin recruited to the club in an off field position.
4. on field they have traded in- dayne beams, allen christensen, mitch robinson, tom bell, ryan bastinac and josh walker. also recruiting some elite young talent via the draft- academy players jono freeman, liam dawson, eric hipwood, ben keays etc. and josh schache, rhys matheison, lewy taylor, dan mcstay, tom cutler etc...
5. an extenuating circumstance re last years results was a once in a blue moon injury list. we lost approx. 280 games to injury while the league average games lost was around the 90 mark.

if you only follow the lions on a casual basis, mainly from embellished, sensationalized media reports (the lions receive scant coverage in the qld media so i can imagine what other states would be like) you would have the perception that the lions are imploding, this is far from the reality.

Pyke - No chance
Leppitsch - I think they'll extend his contract, they have a very young list and are still in the early rebuild stages so can't see it happening
Bolton - No chance
Buckley - Looks like another extension is coming so he should be safe, I rate him as a coach but do find it strange they're willing to extend the contract without knowing how 2016 goes
Worsfold - Probably under the least pressure of any coach in the AFL, 2016 is a free hit for Woosha
Lyon - Freo would have to finish bottom 4 for it to be a chance
Chris Scott - Considering their draw he should be under a lot of pressure if they don't make finals, but can't see Geelong sacking him
Eade - A bottom 4 finish would have him under some pressure but still only 12 months into the job
Cameron - Like Eade a bottom 4 finish wouldn't look great, but he should be safe
Clarkson - He could probably punch a player in the face and keep his job, 4 flags with 3 in the past 3 years basically means he is untouchable for at least 3 years
Brad Scott - Making prelims is nice and all but I firmly believe North are a capable premiership contender, if they bow out of the finals early or don't make it at all he has to be under the pump
Hinkley - Would be interesting to see the reaction if Port miss finals again, although they'd have to have a shocking year for Port to consider sacking him
Hardwick - Certainly under the most pressure in 2016, Richmond would be mad to extend his contract now. Winning a final is a non-negotiable, anything less should see him out the door
Richardson - Still very much rebuilding and even a bottom 4 finish would have him safe
Longmire - Only the year from hell could see him lose his job
Simpson - Missing finals would be disappointing but he'll be there in 2017
Beveridge - Nah

Keep Scarlett and show the door to Scott and his bozo assistants. Time for a huge change at Geelong. Enough off the rubbish, dull, predictable game plan we have seen the last 3 - 4 years. Leigh Tudor next Geelong coach.

I actually cannot see any coach being "sacked" in 2016. There are simply too many 1st or 2nd year coaches, or just good coaches.

Ken Hinkley and Chris Scott might be under a cloud either miss finals, however I don't see either of their teams missing out. Don't think Scott would get sacked anyway.

Hardwick is the most liked coach in the AFL. Although he should be sacked imo if they fail to win a final, I just can't see that happening.

Buckley and Leppitsch are on the verges of extensions, and Eade is bound to have a better year without injuries.

The only change I foresee is Roos leaving for sure, however it isn't a sacking.
The reason why Hardwick is well liked is because he has turned Richmond from a laughing stock to consistent finalists.

Richmond's failure to win a final falls squarely on the players' shoulders, not the coach. Except for the Port final, Richmond was well coached and outplayed Carlton and North at various times during the game and it was not coaching that let the side down, but the players.

Richmond has its best list since 1999/2000ish.

Sacking Hardwick would be the most idiotic thing I could think Richmond would do.

I don't agree with this. You can't keep a coach because he made the club "no longer a laughing stock". That's a pretty low bar to set. And let's face it, come finals time, Richmond are still regarded a laughing stock. Their finals' failures are becoming a running joke and they really need to break through it. If they can't this year under Hardwick, then the club needs to say thanks for bringing us this far and start looking for a coach who will help them take the next step IMO.

We will continue to disagree then.

Disagree. Coach is responsible for gameplan imo and Richmond's has been pulled apart in every final they've played under Hardwick

+1

If Richmond fail in finals this season, two conclusions can be made:

1. The gameplan is flawed which the coach is responsible. or

2. The list isn't good enough to compete in September and a rebuild of some degree is necessary.

Both conclusions involve Richmond looking for a new coach imo.

Should be an option for no sackings. I don't reckon there'll be any changes for the first time in a long time

Brad Scott may come under some pressure but in saying that I think he's doing a fairly good job.
His list is ageing so that may present a challenge next year but they are in the window this year so internally they'd be expecting at the very least another prelim appearance. Once you get that far, it's anyones.

How long can Buckley last if the Pies keep losing like this? Swan going down isn't going to make things any easier. Did Collingwood err in extending Buckley's contract for another two years before the season? Or is Buckley just going to be safe come hell or high water? By season's end Bucks will have had 5 years as coach and if last night is any indication, done nothing but take a premiership quality side backwards every year at the helm. Will Eddie too obstinate to admit his love child might not be the right man for the job, or that sacking Bucks might be some admission he stuffed up appointing him when he did anyway?

Interesting times ahead for Collingwood.
