No, please enlighten me.
If you mean culture, which I think you do, then the Bulldogs by a fair way. Reason being, for all the stupid ****s at St Kilda, the one thing they do right is they stand by their own and don't turn on one another. The Bulldogs however, are a different story. The in fighting & backstabbing between players is disgraceful.
Adelaide have a very good core bunch of prospects but lack quality depth. They'll have a great spine in a few years with Davis, Talia, Walker (if he stays) and Tippett, added to two young gun mids who I rate in Dangerfield and Smith. Need to hit the draft hard though IMO. Not in terrible shape.
Port has the likes of Boak, Trengove, Pittard, Moore, Hartlett, Butcher, Jacobs etc that are decent prospects but after that (I'm surely forgetting a few names) need to rebuild, especially in their midfield. They get my vote.
But now that I think about it I should have voted St Kilda. Sure they have alot of quality on the list but won't get close to winning a premiership even now they're getting their shit together. They seem to have a few decent young prospects but will need to attack the draft hard also IMO before another surge. Keep guys like NR, NDS, Hayes and Goddard on the list obviously (onfield leadership should not be underestimated) but other than that clean out IMO. Good time to bottom out though with this being the last compromised draft and 2012 looking like a great draft.
Bulldogs aren't in terrible shape. Youth isn't in terrible shape, pretty solid from ages 18-25 just need to keep drafting youth all around the park as they lack a bit of depth and midfield talent (Libba and Wallis are guns but more are needed). Players like Cooney, Griffen, Ward, Higgins, Grant and others need to stay at the club while players like Hall and Hudson should retire and Lake should play out his career there. No need for silly trade decisions. If the Dogs have a fit 22 (including Cooney not being underdone/injured) they'd be top 8.
Financial situation aside, North has a young list that will be extremely competitive in a few years time. Far from being in the worst shape.i voted other........nortH
young list doesnt guarrentee future successfinancial situation aside, north has a young list that will be extremely competitive in a few years time. Far from being in the worst shape.
Well no, nothing in life is a guarantee, but it weighes heavily into the debate about which side is in the worst shape.young list doesnt guarrentee future success
