3 terrible feelings, but which one is the better scenario.

At least when u've come 2nd you've had the joy of your team winning throughout the season, and in finals.

Woodon Spoon is the worst, anyone with pride in their club would say that.

Depends. Most often 2nd given you're most likely still in the premiership "window". 2nd isn't good if you're Brisbane of 2004 - right at the end of the window and very little chance of winning another flag.

9th is good if you're on the way up. Tiger's 9th this year is a good 9th whereas in recent years it's been a crap 9th (because they were always hovering in 9th, whereas this year they're on the rise)

Spoon > probably 8 or 9 other clubs. Those clubs being the ones on the way down or the ones perennially hovering mid table.

It's all about momentum and where your list is rather than your actual ladder position. Although many pepole are coming around to this way of thinking, many are still behind. Some people just don't see it.

2nd, though definitely would have preffered 9th to another second this year

2nd because a shot in a GF is brilliant. But if it came out of 16th & 9th, i'd reckon i'd pick finishing last, least you get the pick 1.
