Playing in the white away jumper yesterday really disappointed me. I prefer to see them wear there home guernsey with the white shorts it looks much better. It's basically just a white guernsey with a purple anchor. There is no meaning to the jumper. I think that the club should seriously consider looking at an alternative guernsey if they insist on wearing the white one when playing interstate. Something different that might not have an anchor on it. Ala Hawthorns alternative strip is completely different to there home guernsey. I'll start the ball rolling with a couple of designs, make your own if you want to. Before people start complaining I'm just saying change the white guernsey for when we play away, I like the home one the way it is. Crow28 put these templates and designs up of AFL teams a while back. I just changed some of the layout and colours to suit Fremantle FC. Thanks to Crow28 for putting up these templates.

get off the grass!!!!
the white away jumper is an excellent kit. I personally think it looks better than our home kit, which, could only be improved by our purple haze kit was our permanent home strip. Our away kit is easily the best clash strip out of any AFL club. White and purple and/or purple and white. Simple, looks great and dosent have the other colours in that have mad some our away strips i the past a technicolour vomit.

...and cue Big Kev

Are you ****ing kidding me?

1) The white away jumper created a much better contrast than our home jumper with white shorts would have. The dark top / white shorts combo works best as a clash guernsey when the opposition have dark shorts / light tops. i.e. Geelong, Nth Melb, Hawthorn.

2) The first 3 alternatives presented look incredibly like Geelong and Nth Melb. The last 2 are bland and just look like generic Eagle knock offs. One of their worst jumpers at that.

3) What is wrong with the anchor? The all white guernsey is a ripper and has been adapted by the Bulldogs, St.Kilda and (for a while) Carlton. It is distinctive and provides the perfect contrast.

Get off the grass? Get off the crack.

I disagree with the OP, i thinkt he dockers should just bite the bullet, use the purple haze for home games, the white clash strip for away games and the original jumper for the heritage round...... those designs that the OP put up just seem a knock off of geelong, the roos and the power.... interestingly, the dockers current white away jumper is the highest selling jumper for the club, i think that proves most people like it

I know it most likely most of the forum may disagree, but I reckon we should make the white kit our home kit, thereby ensuring we almost always play in it. I just like it quite a bit.... Does it come in a mankini?

There is no meaning to the jumper.

How can you say this but then turn around and suggest we replace the anchor, which has a lot of meaning to the FFC, with some generic stripes?

Or worse yet, with an eagles design. Tell me that one was a joke, please...

The white and the purple haze jumpers are by far the best jumpers we have.

No need to go for the generic stripes like every other team ffs,

I'm a fan of the current clash strip but your hooped strip at the top looks good raiders. :thumbsu:

Not sure about the 2 at the bottom though.

Looks like it's all been said, but at the risk of repeating

The white jumper is awesome, probably the best looking jumper in the AFL. The anchor is a strong symbol of the club and looks great. Borrowing hoops or stripes from tired old jumper designs is an awful suggestion.

Doubt you'll get much support trying take the anchor off any of our merchandise.

I hate our white jumper, but it's by far the best option for a clash. Adding other colours and/or patterns defeats the purpose of even having one.

Clash jumpers shouldn't be seen as a marketing tool - they can use the NAB Cup for that. They should simply be the best possible colour/pattern combination to avoid two opposing teams looking similar. In the majority of cases this would mean a simple majority white design. The AFL doesn't seem to grasp this concept though and continually approves stupid clash jumper designs. Collingwoods being a perfect example.

The people that we lose to drugs these days. What a waste.

Seriously our White strip is the best uniform in the comp, now if we made the purple one the standard home strip i'd be happy.

I seriously think the Dockers should make the white clash strip their home guernsey. It's simple but effective. Definitely up there with the best looking guernseys in the AFL IMO.

how silly are you people this guy is pure genius.

Isnt it obvious if we go with his geelong design we will play like geelong.
If we go with his north design we will play like them an dissapear like them.

Everyone knows its the jumper you wear that determines how well you play and ours has a big anchor holding us down.

:P

Ok fair enough then I am willing to take on board and agree to disagree. In my Opinion the whit guernsey is just to whit it needs a little bit more colour to it. It looks like they had a blank canvas and just threw a purple anchor on and hey presto a guernsey was made. I have taken into consideration that people like the anchor and therefore have made an alternative design

:thumbsu::thumbsu: Couldn't agree more.

Don't mind the addition of the black shorts to the current white strip. Adds a bit more boldness to a plain white jumper. Not saying that I dislike the white strip but a bit more colour was always welcome. IMO the club is tending to lean more towards purple and white as the colours of the club. Silver has also been thrown in there was a silver polo last year at the team store. IMO the club should decide now the decision that the intend to make on things like guernseys, colours and team song. I know that they said that they were finished but I believe that there is still alot of board room discussions taking place that the public do'n no about. Don;t mind the idead of having a purple haze as our home and then white clash as our away. However though the purple haze could maybe have black shorts aswell, I think that the guernsey is to purple. Nothing drastic just a simple colour change to the shorts.

ahh geez te threads we've had on this. I agree with you on every point. Lets do this before the GC come in. Put the Freo' back into Fremantle.
Purple and White, White and Purple - clean, simple, uncluttered, stands out, look great
The song - I still reckon we could improve it... It dosent even mention the term premiershi in it like most/ if not all the other club songs do. i don;t care if Sir Mix A Lot does our song, we can improve on what we have...
The bigg butts theme would be more entertaining

Agree, the song has some good lyrics in it just needs to have a faster tempo. When I sing the song it feels slow and lethargic. Imagine if you win a really close game and are pumped and then you go and sing a slow song that just brings the spirits down a bit. Most of the actual words in our current song would be kept with some additions to go with the faster melody.
