Brown is the key to the lions chances(slim as they may be) Who should match up on him?
Egan for mine, simply because he has been doing the job all year, physically as strong and is the logical choice for me. Thoughts?

I've had Brown in my Supercoach side, and in all honesty the Lions do a great job of messing up his chances anyway. He's barely done a thing for weeks, just gets 2 goals or so, maybe 7 or so marks and is a shadow of the superstar he's been in years gone by. If Geelong can make their backline outside specialists Drummond and Adcock quiet, it should be a shellacking. Brown often just gets bombs landing over his head, or sliding along the ground.

Egan will but we will probably shut down Brown the same way we shut down Fev ie. having players run off their man to help out and double/triple teaming Brown.

I think Simon Black is more important to be kept out of the game. He has killed us in recent memory. Usually if he gets going, Brown will get smacked on the chest no matter who's defending him. Black is still in the top 5 midfielders in the league, Ling has a tough job again.

i wouldnt worry to much about brown at the moment

i would be more worried about mitch clark he is a really good kid and can certainly take a mark

and also if you play 2 or 3 on brown ash mc grath will be hanging around getting the loose ball so you would want to put someone good on him to

The thing about the Lions is they do have a spattering of good players, who could make it tough if they show up, however like many of the threads and SJ's words we are bigger now, we have a better unit and we have a greater talent.

We need to continue our game buster attitude, take it on at all costs and break the game open early.

Egan on Brown, that is the way to go.

Egan is in pretty good form at the moment and there's no reason why he shouldn't start on Brown.

It would be a bit of a slap in the face to Egan if Brown lined up at CHF and Egan wasn't on him.

He's up to the job imo

Given the absence of Clark, it might be interesting to see the portion of ground Brown covers.

I'd suggest that him predominantly roaming the fifty area would play to Egan's advantage, moreso than if he were to (continuously) lead longer and harder up the ground to blow Egan up.

Egan will get him 100% sure of that.

Dash will plug the holes, Scarlett will setup countless attacks from defense.

The question should be who will they play on Jnr, Jimmeh, Chappy, Moons, SJ, etc., etc.
In summary, my fellow Catters, dont worry about Black and Brown, enjoy Blue and White.

Egan did a very good job on Brown, just unlucky that he got 2 flukey goals

you are being harsh there. Brown is champion of the game and to just restrict him to 2 goals is a terrific effort. Also one of those goals will probably be Goal of the Year. It doesn't matter how good a defender you are there are always times when you just can't counter brilliance.
