person that you have ever met? And what were they like?

I met Geoff Janz at work once LOL. Ehhh well I'm probably looking for people even more famous than him. Well if that is possible

And I met Rupert who works at Hello Deli who is on Letterman. Then there was Joe McIntyre from New Kids on the Block hehe (school girl crush).

Ive met sarah jane.I went all the way up to sydney with her in the bulldog bus for the doggies swans game.
Shes very down to earth and you would never think she was a famous person if you spent that much time with her.
But their was one thing i didnt like bout her and that was she was very controlling and liked to have things done her way. But that was kool.

LOL One question. Who is Sarah Jane?

Outside of sports personalities, I've met Mel Gibson once.

It was in Malibu, California, back in 1996, IIRC. Mel and his family live there, and this was on the ocassion of a community theatre project there that Mel has a bit of a peripheral behind-the-scenes role in.

I was there on invitation of one friend and a professional colleague of mine, and I caught a glimpse of the esteemed Mr. Gibson. Preferred to spend the time with his wife and kids, so you could tell just how private of a person he actually is.

Cheers,
William

Having worked in the music industry for a few years I met many (too many to list here) but the most famous would be Prince. Ran the international fan club for a few years. He is an amazing man. Very softly spoken, totally driven by his music and his beliefs.

HG is a friend of my uncle. I've also met senator Robert Hill.

OK I just did a search on Sarah Jane and I can see what you are getting at there.

I cant believe you didnt know who she was.
But anyway the best thing about her is shes a doggies girl through and through.

Met heaps of musicians from the 60's & 70's because my cousin was in a band, (gawd I sound like suzi), but they were all Aussie musos, but have met Arlo Guthrie, Buffy St Marie & 4 years ago, my all time fav singer Donovan, he was playing at the Fly By Night in Freo & it was on my birthday, my now ex, went through a lot of red tape to get me back stage to meet him, but I got to do it, spoke to him for about half an hour, he was rapt that I named my son after him, gave me a poster which he signed, Happy Birthday Sandie, my number one Aussie fan, Love & Peace always Donovan. XXX

Cherish that poster for ever. :D

Jello Biafra through a mutual friend. Had dinner with him when he was in Melbourne back in 1995. Brilliant guy, if not intense.
Also met Joey Ramone( RIP :( ) and Captain Sensible.

i met cathy freeman about a yr and a half ago... that was pretty good - the news were there filming her signing my back :)

cant think of anyone else tho... i've met quite a few footy players, but as have pretty much all of you, so that doesnt count fort anything. ;)

I've met Vinnie Paul and Dimebag from Pantera, albeit briefly. That was absolutely brilliant. I've also had Gary Ablett over at my house for tea back in 1994. I think that counts.

I went to school with Portia Di Rosi for a few years, back when she was plain old Amanda Rogers. She was in the year below me, and she wanted to be a model when she was 12. A lot of the other girls took that as being up herself and got quite bitchy about it.

Nick Cave, Joey Ramone and lots of other musos.

William McGuiness's kid is in the same kinder as my son. Very nice guy. Good bulldog supporter.

Same she was a legend when i met her at the calendar signing. There was a massive line to see her and there was this guy in a wheelchair so she came down off the stage to see him first. Very down to earth is how i think of her as well!

I've met and gone to school with Doug Parkinson(comedian) and Jason Akermanis.

I have met Denise Drysdale and a few other people.

West Indies captain Carl Hooper. He is married to my cousin (not Suzi), and we went over to their place in Adelaide year before last.. Had previously met him a couple of times while he was playing district cricket with Carlton.

I met Rodger Merritt at a Auskick program and he seemed very short tempered and decided to have a yell at me when he thought I was cutting in line to get his autograph when I was just talking to a friend who was in line. Honest mistake, but I didnt become his biggest fan after that. :D
