Fitzroy in 1996

or

Melbourne in 2008

Although Fitzroy only won 1 game for the season, they were compedetive in about 20/22 game for the season. melbourne on the other hand never seemed like they wanted to be there at all most weeks. Fitzroy didnt really have any on field or off field leardership, hampered by the fact the future was not sure, melbourne won 3 games, 2 of witch no one know how.

you decide

Brisbane were sh1t which is how you beat them on the day. My kids' under 12's could have whipped their butts that day, and that's all you have to hang your hat on????

Good luck over the next 4 years. :o

Brown and Bradshaw kicked 9 goals between them and they still lost. We should have beat them by more, IIRC they had 6+ goals from free kicks while we had 1.

West Coast we absolutely pumped all day, Fremantle game was amazing and personally one of the best i have ever been to.

3 wins> 1 win
Melb 08> Roys 96

Easy, one team won only one game, the other won three.

It's not rocket science, Fitzroy were that bad they should have folded soon after.

I don't remember fitzroy in 96, but i thought given melbourne's circumstances this season, they were surprisingly competitive in far more matches than i thought they would be.

Yes you SHOULD HAVE beaten them by more, but you COULD NOT. Any other team WOULD HAVE.

This is why YOU ended up on the bottom of the ladder.

Now do you get it??? Are we getting thru?

You cant honestly think Fitzroy were at least more competitive on field in 1996 than Melbourne were this season.
Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_AFL_season

I figured games within 30 points were competitive matches: therefore;

Fitzroy 1996
2 losses < 30 Points
1 Win
100+ Point Losses: 4

Melbourne 2008
6 losses < 30 Points
3 Wins
100+ Losses: 3

Was the significance of W=L's post lost on you?

6 Free kicks that resulted in goals for Brisbane to our 1. 9 goals to Brisbane's two biggest goal kickers. Our two main goal kickers (Neitz and Robbo) weren't even playing. I'd love to see how Carlton go without Fevola. Add to that we had other seniors injured like Moloney and Rivers and actually had two (elevated) rookies playing in that game. We had 7 players in that game who had played less than 20 games and 13 players who had played less than 50 games. Brisbane had 5 players play who had less than 50 games under their belt.

Get it?
