Going to call you out here.
You always thought that.
None of this "starting to think" BS.![]()
Going to be some very disappointed Hawks fans if their team doesn't deliver on the hype.
You know what no matter how this season turns out I don't think I can ever be disappointed. In saying that I don't need to worry about being disappointedGoing to call you out here.

its the hawks final everytime that pies and hawks play but long term they blow it hawks and just can not come good.
i think collingwood are far an away a better run club but as with tradition hawks have the wood over the woods.
all steams back to the 60s they took over from the pies as kind bird in town.
alot of first hawks fans of the 60s fathers were pies supporters as a kid.
pies were the basis of the kennedys fathers and they had sometinhg to go with jock mchale.
enter the modern times and they are the king bird but the pies are the biggest in the land

How can you be that illiterate with auto correct in 2025Timokane
Find me a disappointed Hawk and I’ll point to someone who doesn’t know how privileged they have been to see as many flags as they have in their life.Going to be some very disappointed Hawks fans if their team doesn't deliver on the hype.

Sure, there would be disappointment in those immediate instances, but you simply don’t understand how easy it is for Hawthorn fans to fallback onto a position of “oh well, there’s always next year”, when we’ve been kissed on the dick so regularly throughout our lives following this club.So you make a grand final and lose in a flogging you wouldn't be disappointed?
You miss finals by percentage and you wouldn't be disappointed?
I'd suggest you would be.
But sure Hawks supporters would get over it pretty quickly due to the success the club has enjoyed. Fair enough.
But let's not kid anyone that you wouldn't be disappointed. If you weren't you aren't a real fan.

my 6 year old son is a bit disappointed but I'm sure the club will address that soon.Find me a disappointed Hawk and I’ll point to someone who doesn’t know how privileged they have been to see as many flags as they have in their life.

Hawks don’t meet the hype in 2025? Well, then we go into 2026 with even more of our young top end talent a year closer to their prime.
Simple. Collingwood supporter. How can you be that illiterate with auto correct in 2025
Very simpleSimple. Collingwood supporter.
Lots of flags for sure, but 10 years without a prelim is a fair amount of time to not go close to contending.Sure, there would be disappointment in those immediate instances, but you simply don’t understand how easy it is for Hawthorn fans to fallback onto a position of “oh well, there’s always next year”, when we’ve been kissed on the dick so regularly throughout our lives following this club.

And 'there's always next year' isn't just a throwaway line for us, we live it. We almost always back up a GF loss with a win...Sure, there would be disappointment in those immediate instances, but you simply don’t understand how easy it is for Hawthorn fans to fallback onto a position of “oh well, there’s always next year”, when we’ve been kissed on the dick so regularly throughout our lives following this club.

I’m rational about the club and what it achieves. I’m just a fanatical onlooker that enjoys watching them and being involved at a distance(paying member).Well you personally obviously have a positive attitude to these things.
Not sure that applies to every single Hawks supporter. But if that your take on life and football I can't fault your mindset.
You are lucky being a supporter of a club that has tasted recent success.
Doesn’t feel like ten years, and even when you remind me of that my mind immediately reverts to think about the 10 flags in my lifetime, and recognizes that even if it’s 10 years between prelim wins(odd thing to point to), we’ve still had it and got it very good as Hawks supporters.Lots of flags for sure, but 10 years without a prelim is a fair amount of time to not go close to contending.
I'm sure you guys would enjoy being thereabouts again, which would mean at the very least making it to the last 4 teams competing for a flag.
Time flies!Doesn’t feel like ten years, and even when you remind me of that my mind immediately reverts to think about the 10 flags in my lifetime, and recognizes that even if it’s 10 years between prelim wins(odd thing to point to), we’ve still had it and got it very good as Hawks supporters.
