Just looking at our draw for the rest of the season, finding it hard to pick the game that will break our winning streak.

Anyone got any feelings on the matter?

Could be any of them. I can never take any game as a given. Look at the Bombers V West Coast the other night. Who would have tipped that?

I actually tipped the bombers, based on the poor away record West Coast have developed this year.

Im thinking fremantle at subi might be the streak breaker.

You'd think Freo but we did win big there last year.
And playing away obviously doesn't scare the boys now...

Your so right Moons , everyone seems to be overlooking the Brisbane game a little and talking about after the break with the Sydney game. This is a real danger game for us and we have been known to take games at Skilled Stadium more lightly than we should.

I'm more worried about Brisbane than I am about Sydney. I went to the Fremantle game and we weren't too great against a team that had been woeful and if not for some lucky freekicks in the final quarter, the dockers could have easily run us over. This was partially because all the boys from exhausted from playing West Coast the week before and that had been at home! It being a tough game at Adelaide + with the fact it was interstate means it could be a real danger game for the Cats.

I don't think we have any easy matches in the next 6 weeks

12 Brisbane Lions SS Sun, 17 Jun
13 Sydney SS Sat, 30 Jun
14 Essendon TD Fri, 6 Jul
15 Collingwood MCG Sat, 14
16 Western Bulldogs TD Fri, 20 Jul 7:40 PM
17 Fremantle Subi Sat, 28 Jul 2:10 PM

I think if we can get through that with a 4/2 record then that will be a good result. That will give us 12 wins and a guaranteed finals berth and then we can set ourselves for the last 6 matches to go for a top 4 spot.

Beating the Pies at the MCG is always a big ask. They have killed us in recent years. I think this will be our toughest test during the next six to seven weeks. If it is a shoot out then we should get up.

Collingwood at the MCG; I'm still haunted from last year :(

Agreed, excluding any unforeseen inconsistency, this should be the one we should be worried about. However, I was at the G yesterday and the Pies didn't look good at all. Even with their returning 'stars', they don't seem to be as good as their ladder position. They also haven't got a grasp of the hands in the back rule either, they were disgraceful with it.

We play Sydney at Skilled Stadium, not the SCG.

And even with that fact i believe Sydney will be the one to break our winning streak, they play well almost at every venue, a bit like Adelaide, they travel quite well.

I reckon the boys went into the Adelaide game with a bit of a blase attitude and got rolled early. About halfway through the second quarter there was a popping schloop sound as they pulled their fingers out and they went on to win the game, just. I'm hoping that was the inevitable wakeup call, and not a loss in the next few weeks.

That said, Collingwood concerns me. As does Brizbane.

I'm confident (well, as confident as a Geelong supporter can be) about the two home games coming up - Brisbane and Sydney.

Not confident at all about Collingwood - I can't recall a decent period of time when we've ever had the wood over them, they even beat us in 2005 when they won five games for the entire season - or the Bulldogs.

Freo should also be a 'danger game' - they will be keen to avenge on our win there last season and if their 2007 is anything like their 2006 they will be in the midst of a winning streak!
