Could be anybody. Iles Stanley or Pendlebury from what I hear would be frontrunners.

But I doubt we'll see any of them in the next eight weeks. I'd rather see a bit more of last years crop first - Fanning,O'Brien, Iaccobucci, Rusling (when he returns from injury), plus Walker, Cam Cloke, Rhyse Shaw, Burns and Caracella. Even Morrison. Give the kids some time.

I heard a rumour that some of the new draftees/rookies will be playing willy reserves this week so they dont have too many afl listed players in the vfl side.
any truth to this? i ve heard Toovey is one and Iles possibly another.

Something to do with not upseting the non-magpie listed players, nothing to do with form?

If that is true then maybe we should think about having a Collingwood B's side in the Vfl atleast all listed players will play then and develope better it really does stifle there developement playing against lower quality teams it can bring you down to their lvl.

Stanley is injured at the moment but he has a mature body , so he has a chance. Pendlebury is still getting his fitness base up and is still skinny but has the skills and poise. Those would be the 2 biggest chances in the near future I would think.

Iles, easily. I have watched him play for Williamstown and he looks the goods. Nicholls and Stanley are chances too.

JA, Cook and Pendles need time at Williamstown.

dude, Iles is way off, he's hardly gone near it in his last two outings. Ive been following Willy games this year and hes not there yet.... u must have a soft spot for him.

(re:stanley) duno but i dont think he is quite right. i was down at training last wednesday and he was running laps by himself i dont think he joined the main group at all.

duno bout cointoss having a soft spot for iles but thats the second time you have bagged iles out!

Stanley isn't on the injury list, nor has been all pre-season. What's the story?

Stanners did a reocurrence of the same hamstring which kept him out of action at the start of the pre season.

Your kidding me, right?

Iles was quiet against Port Melbourne, but he has been sensational over all. He is a star in the making.

how much game time did he have in black and white? not much.'
he played prob less than a half against freo and had about ten touches, same against the roos in the challenge match, taking into account also that his opponents in those matches were black for the freo game and spent most of his time against kangas on Shannon Grant, he went ok. Dont forget he is a running defender he isnt going to kick goals and take big marks like Dale, he has his role to play and so far he has done it well.

Black and White? WTF are you talking about.

Do you mean Blue and Yellow?

Black and white, you know Collingwood's colours...

NAB Cup vs Fremantle, practice match vs Kangaroos.

2 games in black and white.

And Williamstown's colours are blue and gold.

And if he is tearing it up at VFL level, then good, so he should if he is on an AFL list.
