I'm obviously going to back my own team to continue the good work of 2012, even though I'm well aware that we usually follow up a finals season with some of the most dire football imaginable.

That is true but I think we were actually good this year instead of the other teams being bad. In the past I think we have just made the finals on luck alone instead of true skill. That's why I think that we can only get better.

I don't know so much of it was luck, 2006 we were the best team in the AFL over the last 8-9 weeks of the season but weren't ready for the increase intensity of Finals. 3 of our 4 finals berths have come off good finishes to the season so we were deserving of a place but this is the first time I can genuinely say I believe we will make the 8 and will be competitive in it.

Fremantle fans sure are overrating their side lately.

Fremantle were hit much harder by injury than Richmond, yet finished higher, won a final at the MCG and went close in a Semi in Adelaide. They are definitely on the way up and are a chance for top 4.

I can't see finishing above them, Fyfe and Sandi missed lots of footy in 2012, added Pearce and hit the last part of the season really hard under a new coach.

Looks like freo will get another 1st up final win. Will you do 15 lists so you can get 1 close and bump next year? I will give you a tip - put the Tigers in 10th for one. It maybe the one you claim at years end.
