Who would you take from the 2003 draft- Sylvia or Walker?

Oh yeah. Sylvia had no injury issues...

I was actually identifying injury issues as a concern moving forward.

Given that OP is soemthing that can return or flare up at any time it makes Sylvia even more of a risk.

If anything that makes my Walker selection more justified. :D:thumbsu:

Yeah, nah.

Sylvia obviously has his body under control for the first time in his career, and look how he his playing.

Imagine the improvement left in him :eek:

But I forgot, Walker has more upside bwahahahhaah:D:D:thumbsu::thumbsu:

You obviously don't know much about OP, along with not knowing much about footy in general.

In my opinion Walker does have marginally more upside. He has been set back by injury the last couple of years and he played a couple of very good games to finish the season. With a pre-season under his belt he will only get better in 2010.

But i forgot.. besides your random trolls and ignorant quips you don't really know that much. bwahahahahahaha :D:D:thumbsu::thumbsu: etc, etc.

How many times did you see Sylvia play this year? He got much better as the year went on. He'll be Melbourne's best player next year. Walker has upside, but Sylvia has shown that his best is elite. He's the better player at the moment, and will be the better player in the future.

It may have been a coin flip at the start of the year with these two, but Sylvia has flown past him this year.

Improved his consistency and impact on games to a level which far exceeds Walkers' at the moment.

Described yourself to a T. Anyone who would rather Walker over Sylvia just doesn't know much about footy in general.

Coming from someone who has already labelled Naitanui a spud, claims Melbourne will finish above the Eagles and Melbourne are a certainty not to finish bottom 4 next year but finish 10th. :o

Agree with most of your post. I'd go so far as to say he is already your best player. However basing the future of two reasonably young players on one having a great 1/2 a season is a little premature.

Agreed. However again i'm happy to let Walker have another season to show what he can do. Both were highly rated youngsters. Both have had injury issues. I never doubted Sylvia is currently the better player. I will however say that i don't think his impact is as massive as some of you suggest.

That's a pretty reasonable summation there Spartan (the second 2 paragraphs anyway) - although obviously you're taking a significantly more pessimistic view than we would be, but that's to be expected, given that your vantage point is pretty different from ours.

Still give you credit for the post though :thumbsu:

What an interesting and original contribution Jokeham... but do let me know when you think of any troll not already repeated at least 1000 times before you get to it

Ah, you go to the same playground as lions_den and Spartan I see... hope you never come across anything sharp there though, God knows what you sprogs might do with it...

We'd probably carve some graffiti on the walls. Something like "Wonnateary is a whiney slapper" most likely.

Anyways good luck over there, Davey wants to be traded to Essendon, you guys look like fielding an under nineteens side next year.

More pathetic childish abuse...

Seeming like you can invariably tell very quickly the content of someone's character in situations like this.

Methinks Jokeham is just about Carlton's answer to Wambat by the sound of things here...

Love you too kiddo :)

Sylvia would have to be the best player at the moment and still has potential to be elite, i don't think that Walker has that potential left in him due to his injuries. Would love Sylvia at Adelaide, would be the difference between missing the top four and making it evey year.
